‘Annabelle Creation’ A Predictable, Ridiculous Horror Film – The Good Men Project (blog)

This movie tries to tell a scary tale, but it ends up falling flat on its face

I have seen my share of horror films lately. Sadly only a handful of them have been good. Most of them follow the same formula, and for me become predictable instead of scary. I was able to see Annabelle Creation early and here is what I thought of it.

You can read the plot for Annabelle Creation here:

Former toy maker Sam Mullins and his wife Esther are happy to welcome a nun and six orphaned girls into their California farmhouse. Years earlier, the couple lost their 7-year-old daughter Annabelle in a tragic car accident. Terror soon strikes when one of the girls finds a seemingly innocent doll that seems to have a life of its own.

Annabelle Creation started good, but lost its momentum pretty fast. As the story progresses, it got more and more predictable. When you saw a dark corner, it was clear something was going to pop out of it. Or somebody in that scene was going to be pulled into it. The special effects were alright, but I wasnt scared for even a minute. To learn more about Annabelle Creation click on this website.

Annabelle Creation gets 3/10. It just wasnt that good of a horror film. It attempts to tell an interesting story, but its predictable and ridiculous nature harm it a ton. The biggest shock for me was just how many people made it out alive at the end. I wont say how many or who, but it was definitely more than I thought is was going to be. Some people may like this film, but it will not be for everyone.
