Read IGN's Review: 10 Cloverfield Lane is a remarkable debut for director Dan Trachtenberg. While its story is smaller than the one told in the original Cloverfield, it is no less effective in its ability to unnerve and excite, and ultimately reminds us that humans can be much more frightening than sharp teeth and tentacles.

From IGN's Review: Blair Witch is a terrific sequel that stays true to the spirit of the original while at the same time developing and expanding upon the legend. The film fills in multiple blanks that those who loved the mystery and ambiguity of the original might not appreciate, but if you want more of what made the first film work, Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett deliver, in deeply distressing and genuinely frightening fashion.

From IGN's Review: With his latest sequel, James Wan has mastered the horror genre, infusing traditional jump scares with genuine character development and stakes. While the haunted house storyline may feel routine, The Conjuring 2 is bolstered by striking camerawork, strong performances and a gleefully unsettling mood.

From IGN's Review: Robert Eggers (who won a directing award at Sundance last year for this film) makes his mark with The Witch, a remarkable tale of fear and horror that also serves as a very disturbing coming of age story. Anya Taylor-Joy also mesmerizes as the girl torn between her crumbling family and survival.
