‘The Walking Dead’ May Be Missing Three Main Characters In Season 8 – Konbini US

The Walking Dead has had a fair amount of battles on its hands this year. After narrowly avoiding yetanother writer's strike, it looks like at least part ofseason eight willbe going ahead without the participation of some of the show'smost important characters.

The first is Christian Serratos (Rosita) who was pregnant during the filming of season seven. Aftergivingbirth in May, it's unlikely that she made itback at work in time with the show currently filming its fifth episode.

More importantly, however, showrunner Scott M. Gimple may have to do without Danai Gurira (Michonne) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) for several episodes of the upcoming season.

Gurira recently made her Marvel Cinematic debut as Okoye in Black Panther. While filming of the standalone movie is finished, Okoye will be back in Avengers: Infinity War,currently in production, which creates a schedule clashwith TWD.

Apparently, theteam was made aware of the actors' conflictingschedules well advance and has organized filming accordingly. For example, season seven's finale saw Michonne injured quite badly which could explain her absence for a fewepisodes.

On the other hand, it'll be more difficult to cut Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character out of part of the season. Nevertheless, asUproxxreports, the actor, currently filming Rampage with Dwayne Johnson, is yet to be seen on set.

Basically, with three of the show's main characters missing, you shouldn't expect to see the long-awaited waragainst Negan to kick off from the get go. Fingers crossed the actorsmanage to balance their schedules soon enoughbecause, frankly, we can't wait much longer for the battle to start.
