The Walking Dead season 9 spoilers: Negan’s new ally REVEALED …

The Walking Dead viewers were left a little broken-hearted during the mid-season finale of season nine.

After Jesus (played by Tom Payne) was brutally killed by the harrowing Whisperers, the Alexandrians greatest enemy seemed to escape.

Viewers were left with a clip of Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan) walking away from his cell.

And that isnt all, as brand new images of the second half of the season have now been released.

One of which features Negan strolling through Alexandria with a shovel and a satchel.

However his flat-cap doesnt seem to instil fear into viewers hearts - could he be turning over a new leaf?

However Angela Kang recently spoke to Comicbook.com and hinted at a bigger story for the tyrant.

She explained: I am excited for fans to watch and see what happens, because I think Negan is a complicated character and weve seen that hes a guy who will bash in peoples heads to make a point.

Weve also seen that he was at the lowest of the low point earlier in the season - was suicidal.

She also went on to tease he may have a growing relationship with Judith Grimes (Cailey Fleming).

If Judith is the person who works with Negan in the coming episodes, could he be ready to become a good guy?

The team certainly needs a new ally as the Whisperers are on their way to finish the job.

And with Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) absent from camp, the community will absolutely need as much help as they can get.

Fans of the source material will be clamouring for a fight scene between Negan and Alpha - but who will come out on top?

Meanwhile a new image of Michonne may have revealed her tactic to take on the Whisperers.

The image shows her standing in front of two walkers with her katana drawn.

While this may look like a regular image, it is reminiscent of her first appearance in the show with two walkers attached to her.

Michonne is infamous for removing walkers arms and teeth to make them docile and guide her through hordes of undead.

Will she be returning to this form to sneak her way in to the Whisperers ranks?

The Walking Dead returns February 10 on AMC. Seasons 1-8 are available to stream on NOW TV.
