First Photo Of Chloe Moretz As 'Carrie' Free Of Pig's Blood

In case you've been wondering what Chloe Moretz looks like as an awkward teen that unleashes telekinetic doom at her high school prom, Dread Central has an image of the actress as Carrie. The remake of the classic 1970's horror adaptation (based on Stephen King's novel) started filming, and Moretz was spotted wearing a dowdy dress and sweater combo buttoned up to her chin with a big silver cross. DC shares that, " although she's definitely in costume, it's not yet known what [Moretz's] physical look (hair, etc.) will be." "Boys Don't Cry" director Kimberly Peirce is helming the remake, set to hit theaters next March. Unleash the pig's blood!

Double Trouble Returns to 'Machete Kills' Robert Rodriguez is turning the volume up on ass-kicking girl power in the upcoming Mexploitation sequel, "Machete Kills." Variety reported that the director's twin nieces will be double trouble in the follow-up to the 2010 movie starring Danny Trejo. Electra and Elise Avellan will be reprising their roles from the first film as Nurses Mona and Lisa.

The siblings join the previously announced Charlie Sheen, Sofia Vergara, Edward James Olmos, Mel Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Amber Heard, Demian Bichir, Zoe Saldana, and of course the titular ex-federale, Machete Cortez (Trejo). This time around the government recruits Machete to stop a Mexican cartel terrorist and an arms dealer who wants to launch total war. Ready for more over the top action and gore?

'Paranormal Activity 4' Starts Casting We're only a few short months away from the fourth installment in the "Paranormal Activity" franchise, which haunts theaters on October 19. "PA3" directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are expected to return for the fourth movie, but no deals have been finalized at this time. Bloody Disgusting, however, is reporting that young actor Matt Shively is currently in talks to lead the mostly unknown cast as a character named Alex. We already know that "The River's" Zack Estrin will be drafting the screenplay, which probably features a lot of screaming and shaky cam. Are you braving another PA movie for the Halloween season, or will you be sitting this one out?

Genre Favorite Dee Wallace Chats About Rob Zombie's 'Lords of Salem' Genre scream queen Dee Wallace recently spoke to Dread Central during her promotion for "Exit Humanity," and she had nothing but kind words for director Rob Zombie who cast the veteran actress in his upcoming "The Lords of Salem." The film centers on a DJ and her pals who head to the witchy city of Salem after a mysterious package arrives on their doorstep. When they show up, all hell breaks loose in the Halloween city. Wallace had this to say about the singer-filmmaker:

"Well, if you're a horror fan and a Rob Zombie fan, then you'll love this movie. It's very different cinematically than all of his last movies, and the last shot of the movie is worth the price of admission alone. Rob was so down-to-earth and easy to work with; he wrote the part for me. I play Sonny, a bubbly, self-help guru who finds herself in some trouble. It was a lot of fun."

'Cabin Fever: Patient Zero' Ready to Infect New Cast Members Prepare for skin-crawling good times. Variety reported that "Cabin Fever: Patient Zero" has started casting. Sean Astin, Brando Eaton and Ben Hollingsworth will star in the new film that aims to tell the origin of the nasty virus that first appeared in Eli Roth's 2002 movie. This time around, we get to follow the passengers aboard a cruise ship in the Caribbean who wind up on a research island. Can they survive the disease that will surely make them look like chopped liver? Probably not we know the rules of horror films. The movie starts shooting this August in the Dominican Republic. Will you be checking this one out, or taking ten billion showers instead?

'Curse of Chucky' Ready to Play Hidey Ho! The Good Guy doll is back and wants to play. "The Curse of Chucky" is now casting, according to a new report. The film will be written, directed, and produced by "Chucky" creator and frequent franchise director Don Mancini, who is set to go behind the camera this September in Canada. Previous reports stated that the main goal for the new film was to make it "scary" again. We love the wisecracking doll, but creepy would be totally cool with us. The awesome Brad Dourif is back to lend his voice to the role of the psychotic playmate. This installment will see a "smokin' hot" nanny, a priest, a heroine named Nica, and more. See who else Chucky is terrorizing on MovieHole.
