Atlantas Chandler Riggs (The Walking Dead) suffers nasty concussion being thrown from a h – Atlanta Journal Constitution

Etowah High School graduate Chandler Riggs, best known as Carl Grimes onThe Walking Dead for eight seasons, suffered a concussion and was hospitalized after a horse-riding accident last week.

His mom, Marietta-born actress Gina-Ann Riggs, shared on Instagram that her son had suffered the accident on Thursday, November 21.

She said 20-year-old Chandler fell off a horse and while he wore a helmet, he still experienced a concussion. Fortunately, he didnt break any bones, she notes.

Chandler - who now lives in Los Angeles and has a major role on the ABC drama A Million Little Things - later said on Twitter he had short-term memory loss right after the accident.

Its SO weird hearing about what i was saying and doing after it happened, Chandler wrote. for hours i had no idea what year it was, how i got there, what happened, etc. and i kept asking the same questions over and over again just to immediately forget the answer.

He also did a live stream from the hospital and said on Twitter he barely remembers it now.
