The Walking Dead hints season 10 will end with Commonwealth cliff-hanger and arrival of gun-slinging Princess – The Sun

THE return of The Walking Dead is just a couple of weeks away, but already we have some clues about what will unfold in the latter half of season 10.

We know that the next slice of action from the zombie apocalypse will centre on the allied communities war with The Whisperers.

However, some new pics of the cast seem to tease a new plot in the aftermath of the clash, as well as the introduction of an iconic character from the Robert Kirkman comics upon which the series is based.

The likes of Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) and Ezekiel (Khary Payton) are pictured arriving in what looks to be a new, urban location.

The current sites of Hilltop, Alexandria and Oceanside are all a far cry from a cityscape, so it seems the trio have ventured to a new territory.

Could this be the hotly-anticipated Commonwealth in keeping with the graphic novels?

Its certainly feasible that Eugene couldve obtained coordinates from the mystery woman he spoke to over the radio earlier in the season, who could be an emissary for the city.

The shots see the characters staring in the same direction with a look of surprise on their face.

We know from previous announcements that AMC have cast actress Paola Lazaro as Princess, a gun-wielding femme fatale who features prominently in the comics.

With this in mind, an intro is certainly on the cards and a new backdrop would provide the perfect opportunity for Princess to make her debut.

Princess, also known as Juanita Sanchez, first graced the comics in issue 171, where she met Eugene in a similar city street.

The characters aesthetic is dominated by her bright pink coat, huge goggles and a machine gun.

She paves the way for the main group to be introduced to the Commonwealth, a sprawling community which looks to shelter its inhabitants from the outside world.

The new pics come after AMC released the official episode titles and plot descriptions for the next two episodes of The Walking Dead.

They promised a bloody siege of Alexandria as Alpha (Samantha Morton) takes her brutal command of The Whisperers to new extremes.

The Walking Deadwill air on FOX in the UK on February 24 and be available to stream on NOW TV.
