Sherlock Team to Reunite for a Dracula TV Series – TownandCountrymag.com (blog)

A fifth season of Sherlock has yet to be confirmed, leaving fans wondering if we've seen the last of Benedict Cumberbatch's take on the Arthur Conan Doyle detective.

Adding fuel to the rumors that it may be a while before we see the Baker Street boys back in action (if ever) is today's news that the creative team behind Sherlock is reuniting for a new tv mini-series inspired by Bram Stoker classic, Dracula.

Talks are already in the works with the BBC to run the show, and according to Variety, who broke the news this morning, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat will write the script, which will take the same feature-length episode format as Sherlock. What's unclear is whether or not the new show will be set in modern-day UK, or Dracula's traditional Transylvania.

And while casting details have yet to be released, we're keeping our fingers crossed that Cumberbatch makes an appearance. He does have a busy film schedule, but perhaps they can fit in the filming at night? It would be .
