Are the residents of Mystic Falls about to make their way to Riverdale?

Probably not, but Julie Plec, co-creator and executive producer ofThe Vampire Diaries andThe Originals,is going to be stopping by to direct an episode of the Archie Comics-based series on The CW.

In a stream of tweets that began after she realized shed picked up a Teen Choice Award on Sunday night, Plec wrote, And by the way, congrats to #Riverdale for dominating the TV awards. Ill be there directing an episode for them this fall. Very psyched.

No word yet on when that episode will air or if it will be one of those featuring another visitor to the town of Riverdale: Veronicas ex-boyfriend (read more on him here).

Plecs announcement concluded a series of tweets thanking fans for severalVampire Diaries wins at the Teen Choice Awards, including Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show and Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress for Kat Graham.

Riverdales second season premieres Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
