"Vampire Princess Miyu" Character Designer’s Lithograph Exhibition Coming This Fall – Crunchyroll News

Tokyo-based company Art Collection House plans to hold an exhibition dedicated to all lithograph works by 55-year-old Japanese animator/illustrator Narumi Kakinouchi, best known for her character design/manga works for the Vampire Princess Miyu series, at the Akihabara UDX building in Tokyo (September 16-18) and Ecru Shinsaibashi in Osaka (October 13-15).

The exhibition displays the all 53 lithographs drawn by her since 2000, including the ones featuring the characters from Vampire Princess Miyu, Vampire Yui, and Yakushiji Ryoko no Kaiki Jikenbo (based on Yoshiki Tanaka's light novel mystery series), and 30 rare original drawings. On September 18, Japanese manga artist Kia Asamiya (Silent Mbius) is scheduled to come to the Akihabara venue to join a talk show and autograph session with Kakinouchi.

Kakinohara started her professional career as an animator in 1980 for Sunrise's Space Runaway Ideon.

She recently worked on Active Raid, High School Fleet, and TRICKSTER as episode animation director.
