‘It Comes at Night’: The Scariest Movie of 2017 Now Has the Scariest Trailer of 2017 – GQ Magazine

Here comes It Comes at Night.

It Comes at Night, the long-anticipated Joel Edgerton horror movie, had its premiere this past weekend at The Overlook Film Festival. Now it's just a month away from release, and to celebrate, A24 dropped a brand new, extremely scary trailer. Check it out:

Freaky. What's scarier than an apocalyptic virus? What's scarier than figuring out who you can trust when things start to go wrong in an enclosed space? What's scarier than a red fucking door that must stay locked at all times?

If anything, this trailer gives a little too much away compared to the agonizing, slow-build, mini-art movie experiment that was its teaser trailer. Seriously, just look at this thing. Then close your eyes and listen to this thing:

Yeah, this one's going to be intense. Trey Edward Shults, the director of the movie (and the extraordinarily underrated Krisha), has said in interviews this is going to be a bumpy ride. He conceived the movie as a response to his feelings on fear, death, and, ultimately, men, saying in an interview, "The opening scene is literally what I was saying to my dad on his deathbed. You might be crying as well as jumping at this one.

It Comes at Night will be released on June 9. You will, of course, want to see this one at night.
