Vampire: The Masquerade Shadows of New York gets a release window – PC Invasion

If youve been chomping at the bit for more vampiric adventures, developer Draw Distance has just the right solution for you. Following the success of Vampire: The Masquerade Coteries of New York, the team has now revealed the release window for the stand-alone expansion titled Vampire: The Masquerade Shadows of New York. It will arrive sometime in the third quarter of 2020.

The expansion will take place several months after the events of Coteries of New York. Players returning to this world can expect to see plenty of familiar faces amongst the factions. Both the Camarilla and the Anarch will remain prominent faces. The four companies of Coteries will return as well.

Notable figures will also come back for a second bite at the cherry, so to speak. Both Prince Hellene Panhard and Sheriff Qadir Al-Asmai will return, with the Sheriff playing a bigger and slightly more empathetic role than in the first game.

For the expansion, we can expect even more additions. Draw Distance will introduce more characters, some from the pen and paper version of the game as well as the sourcebooks. Vampire: The Masquerade Shadows of New Yorkwill be a crowded place indeed, especially when players meet the likes of Torque and Mia, the Anarch representatives from Coteries.

For those unfamiliar with it, Vampire: The Masquerade Shadows of New York is a visual novel that touches on the themes of personal and political horror. Taking the role of a member of the vampiric Lasombra clan, players must master the shadows and communicate with the Other Side. You must then use these powers to attempt to investigate a recent death. Every choice you make will have consequences, and you will have to play the game more than once if you want to see it all.
