The Walking Dead lands in top half of the FanSided 250 – Undead Walking

The Walking Dead has always been well represented on the FanSided 250 list of top fandoms across sports and entertainment. In 2020, the series is going strong even after being on the air for ten years. The Walking Dead fans landed at No. 172 overall on the FanSided 250 and No. 16 in Television, and for good reason.

The FanSided 250 is a carefully curated list of top fandoms across sports and entertainment. It takes into consideration things like searches and followers to create a ranked list of fandoms. This year, The Child (also known as Baby Yoda) came in at No. 3 overall, which is a huge step for Entertainment fandoms.

The Walking Dead has always had a solid position on the FanSided 250 because the TWD Family is such a powerful force. Despite being considerably younger than Star Wars or Star Trek fandoms, the TWD Family has compensated by quickly developing a strong base of fans that touch all points of the globe.

2020 was a very special year for the TWD Family because the pandemic changed the landscape for all three shows in the TWD Universe, altering both TV schedules and filming schedules, and it factored into the decision to end the flagship show in 2022. However, the franchise will be well represented with two new spin-offs, Tales of the Walking Dead and a show featuring Carol and Daryl, in addition to Fear TWD and TWD: World Beyond, which are available now.

While one might think that after a decade on the air a show would be reaching its end, but thats not the case with The Walking Dead franchise even though the main show is ending, and thats a testament to the TWD Family who love being able to escape to Robert Kirkmans post-apocalyptic world.
