Still, Fear The Walking Dead remains one of the most popular shows on TV. The zombie-drama has already been renewed for a seventh season. Hopefully, the series will keep going for as long as the original. Since it's been a couple of years since the first episode aired, here is a reminder of what exactly happened.

Madison's son Nicholas "Nick" Clark was the first person to witness the outbreak. A drug addict, he passed out and woke up hours later afteroverdosingwith his girlfriend Gloria. He quickly searched for her but couldn't find her. Making his way through the hallways, he found a dead man with a bite on his neck.

Moments later, he bumped intoGloria eating a deceased person. As she began approaching him, he ran out of the church where he got hit by a fast-moving car.He was then tended to by pedestrians whotook him to the hospital.

A man who can fix things in the house is always attractive and in the pilot episode, Travis Manawa was already showing viewers why Madison chose him. The character was seen fixing pipes in the kitchen. When Madison came to check on him, she declared that he was so hot.

Madison enjoyed checking up on her family. Before that, she had walked into the bathroom to see if her daughter Alicia was ready. Alicia was upset about the intrusion but Madison didn't seem to bother. At that moment, none of them had any idea about the outbreak and that their lives were about to change.

It's a shame that Principal Art Costa only lasted for two episodes. He was very dedicated to his job. In the series premiere, Art was seen greeting each student and staff member as soon as they arrived at school.

He was later seen observing and listening in on classroom discussions between teachers and students. He also watched the staff members as they examined the leaked video of an incident at the highway. Art was visibly disappointed when only five students showed up the next day. He concluded it was because of a flu and instructed everyone to go home a few hours later.

Alicia sneaked out of schoolto be with her boyfriend Matt. They kissed and talked about Nick's accident. She then confessed that she was planning to move somewhere else when the year ended.

As a romantic gesture, Matt drew a tattoo on her hand and requested her to join him at the beach the following day so that they could spend quality time together. She agreed but when she went to the beach, Matt was nowhere to be seen. He wasn't responding to texts either. At school, he was absent too.

The metal detectors at the school detected a knife when a student named Tobias passed through them. In order to save him from possible expulsion, Madison brought him to her office to talk.

Madison asked Tobias why he was carrying the knife and he replied that it was for protection. He also told her that they would be safe in large groups. Madison had no idea what Tobias was talking about, so he explained that a virus had broken out.Instead of taking him seriously, Madison told him to spend less time on the internet.

At the hospital, Nick was restrained because the doctors feared he could harm himself. He tried to convince Travis to free him but he didn't think it was a good idea either. When Travis and Madison left. Nick convinced the nurse assigned to him to release the restraints on his hand so he could pee.

As soon as the nurse left the room, he immediatelytookthe clothes of a fellow patient and left the hospital. He took shelter under a bridge before buying a phone and calling Calvin. Instead of listening to him, Calvin tried to kill him.

Despite the fact that he was seeing Madison, it became clear that she wasn't the first woman he had been with. Before leaving the house at the early stages of the episode, Travis was called his ex-wife Liza who wanted to check up on Nick. She also informed him that it was his turn to spend time with their son Christopher.

However, Christopher was not willing to come. He even urged him to come for the sake of Nick but Christopher argued that Nick was neither his friend nor his brother.Upset, Travis asked Christopher to give the phone back to Liza and told her to just keep Christopher for good.

After Nick escaped the hospital, he went to look for his friend and drug dealer Calvin. He wanted to know if he had any information about what happened at the church. Calvin had no idea what he was talking about. He thought he had lost his mind and became worried that he might expose his business.

Well, drug dealers have a penchant for violence so Calvin took Nick for a drive and tried to kill him. The two fought and Calvin got shot instead. Surprisingly, he reanimated and began walking. He tried to attack Travis and Madison but Nick ran him down with his car twice to ensure he was dead.

Travis and Madison were stuck in traffic but they were unable to tell what was going on. In school the next day, they saw a leaked video of what happened on the freeway. The video showed a dead man biting a paramedic that had been offering him first aid.

Police beat up the man but when he refused to stand down they fired multiple shots at him. The man dropped to his knees only to stand back up again. The principal noted that the video had caused most of the students to stay at home. At that point, Madison realized that something was really wrong.

While Madison was skeptical, Travis decided to find out if Nick's claims about zombies were true. He made his way to the derelict church where he found pieces of flesh and blood splattered everywhere.

Interestingly, neither Gloria nor the bodies of the two dead men she had killed were present. This possibly meant that they had reanimated and gone out to attack more people. However, a man jumped out and begged not to be killed before storming out. Travis tried to follow him but he disappeared. Travis then brought Madison to check out the church.
