Horror author and filmmaker Stephen King "banned" President Trump from seeing his latest film, "It," the Maine resident announced on Twitter.

King said he was responding to being blocked by Trump on Twitter earlier this summer.

"Donald Trump blocked me on Twitter. I am hereby blocking him from seeing "It "or "Mr. Mercedes." No clowns for you, Donald. Go float yourself," King wrote.

The film about children facing an evil clown opens in September.

Prior to being blocked by Trump, King fired off dozens of tweets critical of the president.

King once compared Trump to the "dark lord" Voldemort from "Harry Potter," and called him the most "annoying novelty act" since "Alvin and the Chipmunks."

"Oh, look, a rabid coyote with bad hair won South Carolina," King wrote during the primaries.

He also called Trump a "thin-skinned racist with the temperament of a three year old" and said that unlike with President Nixon, Trump voters knew they were "electing a crook."
