The Castlevania video games were never known for their narrative strengths, but the Netflix anime certainly makes the characters seem more flawed.
Originally, Castlevania was a gaming franchise and Netflix only adapted the game's lore. The story revolves around three lead characters: a magician, Sypha, a warrior, Trevor, whos entire clan specialized in killing monsters, and Alucard, the Dracula's son. Dracula's wife is killed, and he believes that killing all humans will avenge her.

In the heroes' quest of exterminating Dracula, their moral switches were kind of turned off. Their intent was pure, but their methods raise many eyebrows. There were times when the viewers were left with jaws dropped at what had just happened. They never explainedtheir crimesespecially, Trevor, who has done more immoral acts than Alucard and Sypha combined.
In the town of Lindenfeld when Trevor and Sypha were investigating the priory, they saw two priests carving strange symbols on the houses. They decide to make him talk, in their own way.
Trevor goes in and beats the sense out of him. Then, while we'd expect anyone with the conscience of a hero to cart him off to the hospital, he instead puts him inside a container in that injured state. He had low chances of survival after being beaten like that and not getting medical attention.
In a scene, Alucard says to Dracula that he mourns his mother's death with him, but he won't let him commit genocide. Dracula, already devastated, seriously injures Alucard. He had to go to sleep in his coffin for a whole year.
If he had good intentions from the start, then why would he put in deadly traps around his castle. A normal person is not expected to cross them. Only a vampire or a supernatural would think of going into his castle and waking him up.
As the last living survivor of the house Belmont, Trevor should have some sense of responsibility in honoring the name of his clan. He was clearly strong than an average human and possessed the knowledge to kill Dracula.
So, why did he spent his days doing nothing productive? He used to cover his family crest and abstained from showing it to others. It's almost like he was embarrassed by his lineage. Whenever he'd get cornered, he would pull off maneuvers with his whip that would amaze viewers.
Dracula was one of the strongest beings on the planet. He could control the moon, had an impossible amount of endurance, was resistance to magic, and other supernatural abilities, and all that put him leagues above an average vampire. Therefore, the heroes should not have expected to knock on the door and slay him.

He single-handedly countered each one of their attacks. Alucard thought that he could take him on by himselfand he was mistaken. He never included Sypha and Trevor in his tactics. Dracula let himself be killed, it was not Alucard's doing.
The previous one was only Alucards but this one is a blunder of the whole team. Sypha and Trevor have years of combat experience, and they must've faced all kinds of enemies in their run. So, they should know that Dracula, the strongest of them all, will be even harder to take down.
Trevor used his Morningstar whip, which was an improvement. Yet, Sypha and Alucard took nothing from the Belmont keep. Alucard should've given them some tips about Dracula's fighting style and weaknesses.
When Sypha was searching for the "sleeping soldier" in Gresit, shefaced a cyclops that could turn anyone into stone. The only way to undo his magic was by killing him. The cyclops managed to turn her into a stone statue. She was trapped there, waiting for outside help. Things would've been a lot worse if Trevor never came around.
He went in, defeated the creature, and rescued her. She risked the whole mission of finding Alucard by getting imprisoned.
Trevor took off with Sypha, and Alucard was left all alone to protect his father's castle and the Belmont keep. He started becoming desperate for human interaction and love. One day, two strangers, Sumi and Taka, came to him and asked him to teach them magic. Alucard truly cared for them and wanted to help them.
But, their intentions were not pure. They believed that Alucard was hiding the truth from them. They created a plan to take him off guard and kill him. Alucard used his magical sword and cut their throat. He could've injured them and warned them to go away.
Staying at Lindenfeld was a kind of honeymoon for Trevor and Sypha. It was their first trip after they officially got together. As Castlevaniais not a happy story, their vacation was also filled with death and murders. They entered into a happy village that was full of life and left it wrecked, with every villager dead.
Trevor and Sypha were experienced warriors, and they should've known better the danger they were dealing with. Instead of politely asking the Sala, they should've used force and barged in to see what they were doing.
Dracula was the main threat to mankind until he got killed by the heroes. Finally, life could return to normalbut not for the heroes, and the peace won't last forever. Soon, the Council of Sisters will strike with Hector's night creatures, and Isaac would also have amassed a large army.

If the heroes don't act right now, it'll be the same condition all over againand, this time, it would be more difficult to stop them. Everyone has just retired and should be enjoying their lives.
Day by day, the habits of Dracula are wearing on Alucard. He used to live alone in his castle and restricted anyone from coming there. He has hung two dead bodies. How much worse can it get? Dracula's castle contains knowledge of centuries worth of science and magic.
Locking it all up makes no sense. He should go out and try to help humans. He's on the same trajectory as his father. Trevor and Sypha might have to step in to stop his madness.
