Viewers are looking for greater diversity in the shows that they watch. They do not just want to watch the usual live-action TV shows. After seeing the success of Japanese anime shows, more studious in the United States are now making animated shows. Shows like Rick and Morty and Bojack Horseman are wildly popular. Another great animated show is Castlevania.

Castlevania, which is only there on Netflix, has three seasons till now. The first season came on Netflix in 2017, and the third season came on Netflix as recently as March 5, 2020. The first season has 4 episodes, Season 2 has 8 episodes and, Season 3 has ten episodes.

In the show, Count Dracula wants revenge on the people of Wallachia for killing his wife. They killed his wife because they thought she was a witch. Therefore, Count Dracula releases an army of demons and it falls on Trevor Belmont to save the day. Trevor is an outcast monster hunter in the show. The game is based on a Japanese game of the same name. It is one of the most successful game adaptations of all time.

Castlevania has good ratings from viewers. It has a rating of 8.2/10 on IMDb and a score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. Due to this, Netflix and the creators want to keep giving fans more seasons. On March 27, only 22 days after Season 3 came out, Netflix announced that there will be a Season 4 for the show. Fans reacted very positively to the release of a new season. The show has a very good storyline, and everyone wants the show to keep going.

The cast in an animated series does not matter as much. Characters such as Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, Alucard, and Count Dracula will still be the main characters on the show. Richard Armitage will be the voice of Belmont, James Callis will voice Alucard, Alejandra Reynoso will voice Sypha, and Graham McTavish will continue to voice Count Dracula. The supporting characters will also still have the same people voicing their characters.

Season 3 gave many indications for a dark future for Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard. Firstly, Alucard retreated into his castle and left the bodies of his ex-friends at the doorstep to keep visitors away. Second, Trevor and Sypha had started the season as two very happy characters. Everything was going right for them.

But, towards the end of the season, many things changed. While they did close the Infinite corridor, they do have many monstrous things in their past. The burned village they have left behind will affect what happens in Season 4. Thus, Fans could see a darker storyline for the new season.

But fans will have to wait until at least 2021 to see what happens in the new season.
