"In regards to Season 4, the only thing I can say is there is one because Netflix has said as much. It's coming, and it's going to be amazing, I can say that. The team at Powerhouse [Animation Studios] is hard at work, and the ship is being led by some talented and amazing individuals. You've got the Deats Brothers who are heading that ship, and they're excellent captains," Reynoso toldCBR as part of an upcoming interview. "The whole team behind the project are so great and so talented and really invested in making a great piece of, not just art, but it's a great story and they're great characters. There's not a single character in that, no matter how small they may be, that's just a two-dimensional character which is incredibly exciting."

Loosely adapting 1989's Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse and elements of 2005's Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, the Netflix series follows Trevor Belmont and Sypha as they team up with Dracula's son Alucard to take the legendary vampiric warlord down. Acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, Reynoso observed that the series' success has led to more adult-oriented animation being produced in the United States in a variety of genres.

"It's also amazing to see how this has kind of launched a renaissance of animation in the West because, for so long, especially you see coming out of Japan, you see animation used as a medium, not a genre. It isn't relegated to just being for kids and telling a very specific kind of story," Reynoso said. "You've seen a huge resurgence of that, and I feel like Castlevania was very much at the forefront of that, back in Season 1, back in 2017. So it is really exciting to see how that has affected what is coming up and what people think is possible in the animated medium, at least in the United States."

Castlevania Season 3 on Netflix stars Richard Armitage as Trevor Belmont, Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades, James Callis as Alucard, Theo James as Hector, Adetokumboh M'Cormack as Isaac, Jaime Murray as Carmilla, Jessica Brown Findlay as Lenore, Bill Nighy as St. Germain, Jason Isaacs as The Judge and Rila Fukushima as Sumi. It is available to stream now on Netflix.
