Claes Bang Would Be Super Happy to Do One More Season of DRACULA

BBCs three-episode take on Bram StokersDraculawith Claes Bang hit Netflix earlier this year. And today Bang says he would be super happy to do one more season.

He tells Collider: Thats absolutely something that I think is being discussed, but I dont think theres any news, at all. I havent heard anything. I would be super happy to do one more [season]. Id love to go back with all of those people and do more. It was were really fulfilling and lovely, and really, really cool to do. This is absolutely the truth, I have actually tried to find out if something was happening, but I dont think they have started the discussions yet. I think whats going on is that Netflix and the BBC are evaluating how its done, and all of that. So, unfortunately, I cant tell you anything because I dont know, at this point. I would actually love to know, and I would love to do one more, but theres no news in that department yet.

This new miniseries is a reinventing Bram Stokers classic story for a 21st-century audience. That said, fear not, this miniseries stays (mostly) rooted in Victorian times.

According to creators, in this version, Dracula is the hero of his own story and will be the main character, rather than a shadowy villain for more traditional heroes to overcome. Also, this version is said to be both faithful and faithless at the same time. Whatever that means.

Its developed by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat. Jonny Campbell (Westworld), Damon Thomas (Penny Dreadful), and Paul McGuigan (Victor Frankenstein) directed the three feature-length episodes. All three episodes are written by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat.

Draculaalso stars John Heffernan, Dolly Wells, Joanna Scanlan, Morfydd Clark, Lujza Richter, Mark Gatiss, Jonathan Aris, Sacha Dhawan, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Catherine Schell, Youssef Kerkour, Clive Russell, Lyndsey Marshal, Chanel Cresswell, Matthew Beard, and Sarah Niles.
