The 10 Best Episodes Of Hellsing Ultimate (According To IMDb) – CBR – Comic Book Resources

Hellsing Ultimate was one of the best anime of its decade. With so many great episodes, this is what IMDb narrowed down as its best.

Hellsing Ultimate is one of the coolest anime and manga around. Depicting the modern world with Dracula as the main character, now referred to as Alucard, Hellsing Ultimate is an absolutely brutal show. Comprising of only 10 OVAs, these episodes are incredibly long but they help to paint the cold desolate world that Alucard is a part of, while also showing high amounts of vampiric goodness. Easily becoming one of the greatest horror animes and the show, as a result, gained quite a following.

However, many have their favorites withsome episodes being over the others. As such here are the 10 Hellsing Ultimate from worst to best according to IMDb

One of the two episodes that are the lowest on this list, Vol. 4 starts out fairly slow with the Queen of England calling out a meeting between Hellsing and Iscariot. The purpose is what to do with the new threat which is known as Millenium.

Meanwhile, a British aircraft carrier is captured by Rip Van Winkle and the rest of Millenium which leads to Alucard taking them down. Although it is still a good episode in its own right, the main purpose of the episode is primarily for exposition on the bigger threat at hand.

Things start to escalate quickly as the Major, the leader of Millenium, brings 100 SS-Vampires towards London in order to establish a full attack all across the city. As Sir Penwood attempts to hold off the Vampiric threat, Sir Integra and her butler Walter race off to Helsing manor in order to change the tide. As things continue to escalate, Hellsing Ultimate does a great job in developing the characters while also showing the power of the new threat.

Walter recruits a new mercenary group "Wild Geese" in order to bolster Helsings forces following the massive attack that occurred on the headquarters. Integra meanwhile receives more information from the Iscariot leader, Enrico Maxwell. Sending Alucard and Seras toRio De Janeiro, they are attacked by theBrazilian Military Police after being declared as international terrorists by Millenium. This episode is great as it shows more of the raw power of Alucardas he fights off against Tubalcain Alhambra.

The first episode of Hellsing Ultimate, it is also one of the strongest introductions of an anime that's been seen. Not only does it introduce the darker tone of the show as well as showing the interesting and twisted art style, but it also establishes Alucard as a character. Being less of a Dracula that most people know him for and being more in line with being something far more thanks to him saving the life of a soldier named Seras.

While going to a conference, Alucard, Walter and Seras defend Sir Integra and the committee when they are attacked by a ghoul army from the Valentine brothers. This results in the majority of Helsings forces being utterly demolished by the Valentines. What makes this episode incredibly special is that it shows just how powerful Alucard can be when he cut loose a little bit. As shown with his level 1 release, never fight against THE vampire.

The ending finale of Hellsing Ultimate, it is also somewhat bittersweet. After the city of London is officially in ruin, a final battle begins between Walter who now works for Millenium and Alucard. After a long-fought battle with the seeming demise of Alucard, he mysteriously returns after many decades where Sir Integra is now an old woman. Becoming far more after absorbing the character Schrodinger.

Things start to get more complicated as London slowly starts to get under siege. With the promotion of Iscariot, he begins to mobilize his soldiers in the Vatican Enrico Maxell. Meanwhile, Integra is trying to get home with the only line of defense against the vampiric threat at the moment being Captain Bernadotte, his team and Seras. However, they have to not only deal with Nazi vampires but also Zorin's power. It all culminates into a promise of both Seras and Captain Bernadotte to not die.

Definitely one of the most messed up episodes in the entire show, Zorin triggers deep memories of Seras after she tried to fend off his forces from slaughtering Bernadotte's men. Reliving painful memories regarding the death of her parents, her arm gets amputated and she loses her arm during the illusion. A wounded Bernadotte attempts to take her to safety, however in order to have a winning chance, he requests she bites him. Doing so unleashes an anime power-up that allows Seras to take control of herself and defeat Zorin.

Showing the dark past of Alucard, as Vlad the Impaler, it shows the character at his worst from childhood to adulthood. Detailing how he became a vampire by drinking the blood of corpses before his execution. After being woken up by Seras, he succeeds in killing Anderson, only to be approached by the newly vampirized Walter.
