Source Point Press has unveiled their new series Cult of Dracula from writer Rich Davis and artist Henry Martinez. The horror mini-series follows Special Agent Malcom Bram and documentary filmmaker Mina Murray as they seek information on a mysterious cult, and find themselves coming into contact with the dangerous Mother Dracula. The first issue will feature a cover by Gyula Nemeth, with a B cover by Shannon Maer. Cult of Dracula #1 will hit shelves on March 31.

In a blast from the past, publisher American Mythology has announced a The Robonic Stooges, based on the 70s Hanna-Barbera cartoon of the same name. Via ICv2, the original cartoon featured Larry, Curly and Moe of The Three Stooges as cyborg superheroes, who slapsticked their way into apprehending criminals. The short-lived series only ran for 16 episodes back in 1977 and 1978, but the new comic series is giving it a revival. The series kicks off with two stories in its first issue, the Infinity Gauntlet parody The Imbecile Gauntlet from writer S.A. Clerk, and Fright at the Museum written by Jordan Gershowitz, with interior art for the issue by Jorge Pacheco and Philip Murphy. The Robonic Stooges #1 is set for release in April.

DC has set its voice cast for their upcoming animated DC Universe film Justice Society: World War II. Via The Hollywood Reporter, Stana Katic and Matt Bomer will headline the cast as Wonder Woman and The Flash, respectively. Filling out the cast are Elysia Rotaru as Black Canary, Chris Diamantopoulos as Steve Trevor, Omid Abtahi as Hawkman, Matthew Mercer as Hourman, Armen Taylor as Jay Garrick, Liam McIntyre as Aquaman, Ashleigh LaThrop as Iris West, Geoffrey Arend as Charles Halstead/Advisor, Keith Ferguson as Dr. Fate, and Darin De Paul as Roosevelt. Jeff Wamester (Disney XDs Guardians of the Galaxy) is directing from a script by Meghan Fitzmartin and Jeremy Adams (Supernatural). Justice Society: World War II is set for release in spring 2021.

The second episode of the Faith motion comic from Valiant Entertainment has dropped. After the first episode explored the superhero Faiths origin and her relationship with her first love Torque, episode two picks up on her adventures to show the next steps in her story. Both of the currently released episodes are based on the comic Harbinger: Faith #0, from writer Joshua Dysart, artists by Robert Gill and Jos Villarrubia, and letterer by Dave Sharpe. Episodes one and two are available on the Valiant Entertainment YouTube channel, and PREVIEWS World has teased that a new motion comic focusing on the Valiant anti-hero Bloodshot will be arriving next week on Wednesday, January 13.

Via CBR, Ben 10 co-creator Steven T. Seagle has criticized the crediting system for films that are inspired by or based on previous works. In an essay over at Bleeding Cool, Seagle wrote that he was tired of seeing the Thanks section of the credits following a comic book film often being a swath of inspirational comic book creators lumped together for the non-credit credit of thanks Seagle argued that the original creators of a comic property ought to be acknowledged with appropriate story or design credit that is commensurate with their contribution, and that their credit should come with adequate financial compensation.

The CWs Riverdale has added Chris Mason (Broadchurch) to the cast in a recurring role ahead of its upcoming fifth season. Via Deadline, Mason will first appear in the seasons fourth episode, which will include a 7-year time jump. Mason will portray Chad Gekko, a controlling Wall Street executive who feels threatened by his wife Veronicas life in Riverdale. Season five of Riverdale will premiere on January 20.

Also via Deadline, Canadian actress Aliyah OBrien (Bates Motel) has joined the CWs Legends of Tomorrow in a recurring role. She will play Kayla, a fearsome warrior with a high body count and low patience for human incompetence. Shell be put through her paces working with and against the Legends as shes certainly not used to messing anything up much less for the better. Season six of the DC time travel comedy will premiere sometime later this year.

Via GeekTown, the upcoming comic adaptation Resident Alien has set its premiere dates in the US and the UK. The sci-fi comedy, which stars Alan Tudyk as a crash-landed alien who masquerades as a small-town doctor as he tries to blend in with the local community, is based on the Dark Horse comic book of the same name by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse. Family Guy writer Chris Sheridan is at the helm as the series showrunner, with Tudyk being joined by costars Sara Tomko (Once Upon A Time), Corey Reynolds (The Closer), Alice Wetterlund (People of Earth) and Levi Fiehler (Mars). Resident Alien will premiere on January 27 at 10 pm on Syfy in the United States, and on January 28 on Sky One in the United Kingdom.

Screenwriter Michael Waldron is continuing his relationship with the House of Mouse. Via Deadline, the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness scribe and Loki head writer has been tapped to write the Kevin Feige-developed Star Wars feature for Lucasfilm. Though the project was first rumored back in 2019 following the success of Avengers: Endgame, there has been little reported about the film in the time since, and the project was not among those announced last month during Disneys Investor Day. Waldrons attachment to the project is part of his overall deal with Disney, which Deadline notes will also see him returning for Loki season 2 in some regard.

Hans Zimmer and Sony unveiled the winners of the Enter the World of Hans Zimmer contest, which asked entrants to submit music videos using one of the iconic scores from Zimmers concert album The World of Hans Zimmer, in a livestream on the composers YouTube channel. The winners included The Signal, a dramatic video set to Zimmers orchestral suite from The Dark Knight. You can find a playlist featuring all of the winning videos here.
