LUKE Evans has represented Welsh talent in a string of Hollywood movies, including Dracula and the Disney live-action Beauty and The Beast.

The actor has also appeared in various West End productions. Here is a look at his life so far, from his upbringing to his film career.

Luke Evans is a Welsh stage and film actor from Pontypool, Wales, who played Gaston in Disneys live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.

Born on April 15, 1979 he was raised as a Jehovah witness but left the religion at the age of 16.

By 17 he had moved from Aberbargoed, a small village in the Rhymney Valley, Wales to Cardiff, where he was taught by Louise Ryan, who has coached Charlotte Church and Lucie Jones.

In 1997, he received a scholarship to London Studio Centre and graduated from the institution in 2000.

His acting career began on stage, starring in West End productions such as Rent, Miss Saigon and Piaf.

However, his first major role came in 2010, with the remake of Clash of the Titans, where he played the role of Apollo.

A year later he appeared in the action-thriller films Immortals, The Raven and The Three Musketeers.

The film star has had starring roles in several blockbusters but he is probably best known for playing Bard the Bowman in Peter Jacksons The Hobbit trilogy.

After he was cast as the lead role in the film Dracula Untold, starring opposite Dominic Cooper, Sarah Gadon and Charles Dance.

Then, he played American psychologist William Moulton Marston in the drama Professor Marston and the Wonder Women.

His other film credits include Fast & Furious eight, The Girl on the Train, Ma, Anna, Angel of Mine and Message from the King, among others.

On November 22, 2019 the Broadway star will release his debut studio album, titled At Last.

Luke is reportedly in a relationship with Victor Turpin, a US actor, who has starred in a variety of TV shows in America.

However, he is yet to confirm their romance but is said to have stayed at Victors Los Angeles home in early 2019 after months of dating.

News of their alleged romance was first reportedby the Daily Star Online in February and sources said the British actor seemed to be head over heels.

That same month Victor took to Instagram to reveal how much he missed his lover with a series of gushing messages.

On his story said: So in love! 9 days apart seem like 9 years. So in love! Every day is Valentines day. So in love! I already forgot what is not to be with you!
