The writer-director, Babak Anvari, won several awards, including a BAFTA, for his directorial debut. It tells the story of a mother-daughter dua Shideh and Dorsa. When their building is hit during the Iran-Iraq War, a superstitious neighbor claims that the missile was cursed and could be carrying malevolent Middle-Eastern spirits. Convinced of this, Shideh is willing to go to any extent to save herself and her daughter.

This film was director Mike Flanagans first tryst with Netflix before his mega hit series, Haunting of the Hill House. Just like the series, this movie too features Carla Gugino and tells the story of a couple who plan a getaway to reignite the spark in their marriage. But during a kinky game, the husband accidentally dies, leaving his wife tied to a bed all alone. Soon, she begins to hear strange noises and gets visions. Talk about things going wrong.

Patrick Brice made his directorial debut with this psychological horror film in which he also stars. He plays the role of a videographer recruited to film an eccentric client until everything goes to hell. This client is portrayed by Mark Duplass, who also helped Brice write the story for this film.
