Darren Aronofsky’s mysterious new project is a horror movie … – A.V. Club

For more than a year weve known pretty much bupkis about Darren Aronofskys latest feature Mother!, beyond the fact that it was indie, and that Jennifer Lawrence was attached to star. Now, The Wrap has been tipped off about the tone of the new film, revealing that the Black Swan director is dipping back into the world of psychological horror.

The brief synopsis for the movie only says, A couples relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. But sources close to the movieout this October, in a spookily appropriate bit of schedulingsay itll be similar in feel to Swan, the film that won Natalie Portman a Best Actress award at the 2011 Oscars. Meanwhile, the movies also sporting a pretty amazing cast list by now, with Javier Bardem co-starring opposite Lawrence, and Michelle Pfeiffer, Domnhall Gleeson, Ed Harris and Kristen Wiig in supporting roles.
