Shudderis ramping up to release several titles on their platform for February 2021 - here's everything that will hit the streaming service this coming month and when they will be available.

In 2020, Shudder had its most successful year yet. The niche horror streaming service released over twenty original horror movies and even more exclusives. They became the home of Indonesia's Best Foreign Language Film Oscar nominee,Impetigore,and reinvented horror anthologies with Josh Ruben'sScare Me.Rob Savage premiered his impeccably timed Zoom horror movieHost, the Etheria Film Night took their festival digital, and foreign horror boomed on the streaming platform.While the COVID-19 pandemic largely put horror movie releases to a halt and postponed some of the most anticipated premieres of 2020, Shudder didn't let it get in the way, and continued providing subscribers with new content monthly. They even went as far as rescuing Halloweenby delivering audiences with numerousoriginal releases and exclusivesduring the month of October in lieu of the usual mainstream theatrical releases.

With a brand new year comes brand new content at Shudder, and the 2021 line-up is one to brag about. As of this writing, they are set to release eleven original horror movies during the first quarter of 2021. Surely, Shudder will also provide subscribers with a plethora of exclusives as well. Shudder has become one of the most trusted horror content providers on the market, and their February 2021 release schedule is more than proof of that fact. Without further ado, here's everything coming to the streaming service and when they will be available to audiences in February 2021.

Robert Wise'sAudrey Roseis set to hit the streaming service on February 1st. The 1977 psychological horror movie followsBill (John Beck) and Janice Templeton (Marsha Mason) after they are informed that their adopted daughter is the reincarnation of Elliot Hoover's (Anthony Hopkins,The Silence Of The Lambs) deceased child. Kimo Stamboel and Joko Anwar's (Impetigore) remake of the 1981 supernatural horror movieThe Queen Of Black Magichit Shudder on January 28, 2021. While some may not know it was inspired by a 40 year old Indonesian movie, the streaming service will make it abundantly clear when they release the originalThe Queen Of Black Magicon February 1st. Directed byLilik Sudjio, the movie starsSuzzanna Martha Frederika van Osch as Murni, a woman unjustly tried for using black magic. Despite the fact that she didn't use it prior to her punishment, she turns to black magic as a source of revenge.

On February 1st,Robert Bierman's 1988 horror-comedyVampire's Kissdrops on Shudder. It follows Peter Loew (Nicolas Cage) as a business man who starts to believe he is transforming into a vampire afterRachel (Jennifer Beals) bites him. Today, Nicolas Cage horror movies are largely celebrated, as the actor has such raw potential in the genre that it's unbelievable to think it wasn't his calling in the first place. Bierman'sVampire's Kissshowcases his talents in the horror-comedy sub-genre before he went on to star in features such asMom and Dadand the Lovecraft-inspiredColor Out Of Space.

Elle Callahan'sHead Countfeatures a story about a group of friends who venture to Joshua Tree, where they exchange ghost stories. After one of them reads a mysterious chant they found on a very trustworthy and not at all questionable website, horrifying events ensue. The friends are confronted with the possibility that they may be the target of a shape-shifting beast.Head Countarrives on Shudder on February 2nd.

The long awaited Mary Shelley biopic,A Nightmare Wakes,premieres as a Shudder original on February 4th. It details the young author's conception ofFrankensteinduring a fateful trip to Geneva. As she immerses herself into creating the world's first science fiction story, she uncovers darkness within herself and her surroundings.A Nightmare Wakeshas the opportunity to reinvent the classicFrankensteinstory by giving Shelley the recognition she deserves as well as presenting the creature in the way she always imagined with all of its social and cultural nuances.

A Discovery Of Witchesreturned in the beginning of January 2021, and will continue to release episodes throughout the entire month of February. The series follows a historian who has uncovered a dark manuscript about supernatural events and the realm of magic. The first episode of the month will arrive on February 5th and follow a weekly release pattern until A Discovery of Witchesseason 2 concludes in March.

Curtis Harrington'sNight Tideis a 1961 thriller that features a mermaid who may pose a threat to any man with whom she forms a romantic relationship. Night Tidehas been compared to other cult classic mid-century horror movies likeCarnival Of SoulsandCat People.Mermaid horror is relatively rare, butHarrington's happens to be ranked highly in comparison to others.Night Tidewill be available on February 8th for immediate streaming.

The "Whispering Corridors" trilogy includesKi Hyeong Park'sWhispering Corridors,about a student turned teacher who returns to their alma mater just in time for bodies to pile up and ghosts to manifest. It's accompanied byKim Tae Young'sMemento Mori, whichtells the story of a young lesbian couple who are bullied for their sexuality. When one student dies, revenge ensues in this supernatural horror flick.Jae Yeon Yoon'sWishing Stairsis the third and final movie in the "Whispering Corridors" trilogy. It's about two competing ballet students and one haunted set of stairs that can make even the darkest wishes come true. These movies all take place in a school setting and come from some of the most talented South Korean horror directors. The trilogy will be available on Shudder on February 8th.

Emily Harris'sCarmillais inspired byJoseph Sheridan Le Fanu's gothic horror novel of the same name. It features a teenage girl who finds herself drawn to a mysterious stranger. This vampiric horror movie showcases the roots of the blood thirsty creature through the sexual discovery of Miss Fontaine (Jessica Raine). As one of the first vampire tales to come from the gothic era, it is an incredibly important story in both literary and horror history.Carmillawill hit the streaming service on February 9th, just in time for Valentine's Day.

Giallo horror movies saw a bit of a reawakening in the 2010s with the remake of Dario Argento'sSuspiriaand Blumhouse Productions'Nocturne,which featured classic elements of the sub-genre.As The Strange Color Of Your Body's Tearsbecomes increasingly surreal, the mysteries do as well. After Midnightis a Shudder original horror movie set to arrive on February 11th. AfterAbby (Brea Grant, Lucky) goes missing, her husbandHank (Jeremy Gardner) only has a mysterious letter to go off of if he hopes to find her. In a strange turn of events, her disappearance has prompted a creature on the edge of their property to emerge.After Midnightis directed byJeremy Gardner and Christian Stella.

Joe Bob Briggs returns for another holiday special, but this time, the horrors are romantically themed for the Valentine's Day season. Briggs, who is known for his work on MonsterVision and The Last Drive-In With Joe Bob Briggs,has become a staple on the streaming service. Nearly every holiday, Joe Bob Briggs provides subscribers with exciting and thrilling features and his trademark comedic commentary to accompany them. The double-feature will premiere on Shudder TV on February 12th.Joe Bob Put A Spell On Youwill be available for streaming on February 14th.

Frank Henenlotter'sBasket Casetells the story of conjoined twins who seek revenge on the doctors who separated them when they were younger. StarringKevin Van Hentenryck as Duane Bradley, this slasher movie details the forced separation that he and his blob-like twin brother never asked for, but the decision was made before they could even speak.Basket Casehits Shudder on February 15th.

The Ninth Configurationfollows a psychiatrist who is tasked to care for the patients of a military mental institution in the early-1970s. It follows a social media celebrity who is confronted with the harsh reality that her stardom has made her a target for terror and those who wish to do her harm. If she does not do as her tormentors wish, she will suffer the consequences.

Takashi Miike'sOne Missed Calltells the story of a group of friends who begin to receive mysterious voicemails and phone calls that feature recordings of their voices moments before they die. While they attempt to uncover the truth behind these unsolicited calls, they may find that the horrors run deeper than they ever could've imagined. The first installment in the movie series made quite an impact, as it was swiftly picked up by a director overseas who sought to capitalize off of the J-horror craze that swept through the United States. Miike's movie was remadein 2008 byric Valette, but the originalOne Missed Callis far more horrifying than its American counterpart. Fans can expect this Japanese supernatural horror movie to hit Shudder on February 22nd.

Open 24 Hours is a survival horror movie thatfollows a young woman who has taken a job at a gas station when her abusive ex-boyfriend is set free from a mental institution and has his sights set on revenge. While she was able to fight back before, this time may prove to be a bit more difficult. Directed byPadraig Reynolds,Open 24 Hourswill be available for streaming on February 22nd.

Don Sharp's 1973 horror moviePsychomaniafeatures a murderous biker gang, andstarsNicky Henson as Tom Latham as their teen leader who practices witchcraft alongside his fellow members. With occult mayhem and black magic,Psychomaniawill satisfy fans of supernatural elements, the paranormal, and teenage rebellion. Sharp's movie will arrive on the streaming service on February 22nd.

Shudder's final original movie of February is set to release on the 25th of the month.The Dark And The Wickedis one of their highly anticipated horror flicks about a woman's grief and the darkness that lives inside of her.
