Fear and paranoia rises in final trailer for horror movie It Comes at Night – Blastr

A final trailer for A24s upcoming horror movie It Comes at Night has arrived.

The movie, which will come out in theaters on June 9, stars Joel Edgerton (The Gift, Midnight Special), Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road), Christopher Abbott (A Most Violent Year), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (The Birth of a Nation) and Carmen Ejogo (Alien: Covenant).

Written and directed by Trey Edward Shults (Krisha), It Comes at Night follows a father (Edgerton) who will do anything and everything in order to protect his family from a mysterious civilization-destroying pandemic and the evil within that threatens them.

I love the way the new trailer weaves in some quotes to form a narrative for the horror film. And once again, you can totally feel the fear and paranoia rising to an almost unbearable level until full-on horror is unleashed. Yasss! Check it out, and let us know if you plan on catching the movie in theaters.

A man (Joel Edgerton) learns that the evil stalking his family home may be only a prelude to horrors that come from within. Secure within a desolate home as an unnatural threat terrorizes the world, the tenuous domestic order he has established with his wife and son is put to the ultimate test with the arrival of a desperate young family seeking refuge.

Despite the best intentions of both families, paranoia and mistrust boil over as the horrors outside creep ever closer, awakening something hidden and monstrous within him as he learns that the protection of his family comes at the cost of his soul.
