When it comes to movies, they like to be intellectually challenged, they like movies with plot twists, movies that have you lingering and wanting more, they want to make the most of their experiences. Let's look at some movies ISTJs will love and some they might choose to skip.

This trippy horror movie has been critically acclaimed due to the quality acting, storytelling, uniqueness of the plot, and the direction taken by Jordan Peele. The movie follows a seemingly regular family who vacation and find quickly find themselves taking on evil versions of themselves who are set to kill and run their lives.

It has everything an ISTJ would love including a great plot twist, an underlying message, and reliance on practical effects and mind-boggling scares instead of the traditional jump scares.

This is arguably one of the catalysts for modern horror movies. A crazed lunatic wears a mask and chases down and tries to kill his family along with anyone that gets in his way. As terrifying as the movie may seem, it is still a bit cheesy and predictable, which would keep an ISTJ from watching it.

ISTJs like to be mentally stimulated, they like to watch movies with strange twists or foreshadowing and this movie hardly offers any of that.

Orphan is a movie that follows a little girl who is adopted by a normal family who looks to change her life for the better and give their son a young playmate to bond with. When the girl starts showing weird and violent tendencies, they decide to get her checked out and they find out that the 10-year-old girl they took in is actually a 30-year-old woman with a twisted way of looking at life.

It's a movie that requires the viewer to play a lot of attention as the movie uses a lot of foreshadowing and minor details only the observant ISTJ would pick up.

Bringing together two of the most terrifying horror movie monsters and pinning them against each other may seem like a great plan, but unfortunately, it fell very short of expectations. From the cheesy dialogue, confusing and irrelevant plot, and the laughable effects, it's not only a movie ISTJs wouldn't like but a movie most of the public wouldn't.

It's more of a comedy than a horror movie and the teenagers that are being hunted even use Jason to help fight off Freddy.

Split is another horror movie that doesn't follow the traditional takes most horror movies do. The movie revolves around a man with psychological issues and 23 different personalities that are all terrifying, unpredictable, and violent. When he captures three teenage girls, he threatens to kill them and warns them of his most dangerous personality that has enhanced strength and animalistic tendencies.

It may not have a plot twist, but it has a lot of underlying messages and suspenseful moments that most jumped out of their chairs. It was a well-told story with a lot of terrifying moments that leaves ISTJs wanting more.

Blair Witch Projectis a mockumentary about young ghost hunters who travel to learn about the Blair Witch and the forest the entity is said to roam around. When they start experiencing strange occurrences, all the ghost hunter's limits are tested and they try to turn back, but it's too late.

The movie was heavily criticized for its slow pacing and low budget, and the fact we never even saw the Blair Witch once in the movie. Another movie an ISTJ might choose to skip.

Arguably one of the best horror movies in cinematic history,The Sixth Sense follows a young boy who discovers he can see ghosts and is haunted by the spirits throughout. When a famed doctor decides to help the young boy, they quickly come to terms with his gift, and at the very end, it is discovered that the man who was helping him the entire time was in fact another spirit only the boy could see.

Like other movies on this list, it had a lot of foreshadowing and blink and you'll miss it clues that were left by the filmmakers to clue us in with the big twist on the end.

The first of a franchise, Paranormal Activity is another amateur-style filmed movie that shows a family dealing with strange occurrences and setting up cameras to get to the bottom of it. When they realize their issues are paranormal, it's too late and the issues are just getting worse.

It was quite an imaginative movie full of scary and creepy moments, but it was just too predictable and it relied to heavily on jump scares.

This suspenseful horror movie is a wild rollercoaster ride of horror and shocking moments. Taking place almost entirely in the home of a woman who is deaf. A creepy robber comes in and stalks her around the house without her knowing.

It's a movie that's easier to follow along than others but it has a lot of fun twists and turns that make it a must-watch for an ISTJ.

Lights Out is about a woman who is cursed with haunting a house but only coming out at night or in the shadows as it had a fear of the light. When it starts targeting the family's youngest son, they decide to take matters in their own hands and try to take down the woman.

It was just another predictable movie with a lot of plot holes and unexplained occurrences that ruined the plot.
