‘Stranger Things’: Every Horror Movie Referenced in the Hit Netflix Series So Far – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

While we wait forStranger ThingsSeason 4, we have two choices. We can either rewatch seasons 1-3 on repeat until one day were pleasantly surprised to find the upcoming season available to watch,orwe can ponder over the Easter eggs in the first three seasons. However, today, lets look at all of the horror movies referenced in the first three seasons ofStranger Things.Some of these might surprise you.

Stranger ThingsSeason 1 saw Will Byers snatched by the Demogorgon on Nov. 6, 1983. Each season advances another year, withStranger ThingsSeason 4 occurring in 1986. However, the Duffer Brothers used plenty of 70s horror movies for inspiration.

Stranger Thingsrelishes in its 80s references. The series has a vibe similar to that of Steven Spielberg movies from back in the day. While Spielberg didnt dip into horror all that often, the Duffer Brothers took plenty of inspiration from horror movies in that period.

We might have months to wait before we see everything that goes down inStranger ThingsSeason 4, but there are plenty of clues the Duffer Brothers have dropped along the way. By the time summer of 2022 rolls around, well be more than ready for the story to continue.
