Thai-ASEAN News Network – Thai-German Pop Singer Returns to Film “Dark Flight 407”

A Thai-German pop singer has returned after three years, with a 3D horror movie. She'll also be playing in a Thai erotic period-drama film.

The upcoming Thai horror opus, Dark Flight 407 stars Thai-German pop singer Marsha Wattanapanich in her first film role in three years.

Marsha was a leading actress in the 2007 Thai horror film, Alone, in which she played twins, Pim and Ploy, deceased Siamese twins who return to haunt their surviving sister.

In 2009, Marsha played a lead in the comedy horror The End from Phobia 2. This year, Marsha returns to show her talents in a horror film again. Dark Flight 407 is the first 3D big-picture movie in Thailand, with a 50 million baht.

The movie is Hollywood class, with real 3D shooting. Marsha called it her top movie, due to the high value of the equipment used in the movie and the character she plays, which was very challenging.

Peter Night, another lead actor, said it was a pleasure to work with talented actress Marsha.Model A Aunchalee debuts in the movie. Dark Flight 407 is directed by Isaara Nadee, who also directed two parts of the horror film, Art of the Devil which left audiences seriously frightened.

Marsah announced that she has also been contacted to play a main actress in the Thai erotic period-drama film, Chan Dara, directed by M.L. Pantewanop Tewakul.

However, she declined to disclose any details about the movie, and about her new album, which is going under consideration for approval by her superiors.
