"Watchmen" Director Stephen Williams Boards Mysterious Universal Monster Movie ‘Don’t Go in the Water’ – Bloody Disgusting

The above shot is a marketing image from Jurassic World, to be clear, but Variety reports today that Universal Pictures is headed back underwater with the upcoming horror movie Dont Go in the Water, described as a suspenseful monster movie. No plot details are available at this time, but the site lets us know that Stephen Williams (HBOs Watchmen) will direct.

Williams also directed The Walking Deads Season 6 episode Heres Not Here.

Dont Go in the Water is said to be an original horror film. In other words, dont get your hopes up about it being a top secret Jaws reboot or a Mosasaurus spinoff solo film.

The script was written by Peter Gaffney (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters), with Shawn Levy and Dan Levine (Stranger Things) on board to produce for 21 Laps Entertainment.
