Here is a list of movie scenes that scared us when we were kids, but they look inoffensive today for different reasons.

Gremlins were a phenomenon among children and teenagers who grew up in the late '80s and early '90s. The plot is around a group of adorable creatures that turn into dangerous monsters if they get wet or eat after midnight. For kids back then, the scenes of the transformation were shocking. However, when you watch the scene today, it is almost comic.

The producers also agree with it, and the sequel of the movie had a comic approach. By the way, that is a film that someone should think about making a remake.

I Know What You Did Last Summer was released in the late '90s, and the plot was around a group of teenagers who killed a man by accident. Years later, their secret come to hunt them. It is one of the least scary movies released in the decade, but it was a success among teenagers back in them. One f the most powerful scenes is when the main character tries to face the killer and shouts, "What are you waiting for?" Well, it doesn't look impressive today.

The first time we have seen Pet Sematary in the cinemas was in 1989. The film is based in a Stephen King novel, where a family moves to a farm that is near an ancient pet Sematary and everything that is buried that comes back to life, but in an evil way. The couple has a child who dies, and of course, they think it is a great way to bury him there.

Of course, it did not end well, and the child comes back as something completely different. The scenes were scary when we watched it in our childhood, but they are far away from that if we watch the movie today.

The child was not the only scene we can highlight at Pet Sematary. The film had a friendly ghost called Victor that now it is possible to see that it was the comic relief in the movie. However, when you are a child seeing a character with a massive wound on his head is something scary! It also takes a while to realize his role on the movie, but he is one of the best things on the plot.

Nack on the '90s, the book It has a version for television, and it has a lower quality compared to the film released in 2017 and the sequel in 2019. In the first version, Tim Curry played Pennywise, the creepy clown, and he is one of the highest points in this production. However, when the character becomes a giant spider, everything is ruined.

Although many children were scared by it, now the scene just looks lousy and amateur.

Zombies are some of the most popular and scariest characters on television and films. Thanks to special effects, they look threatening. However, back on the '90s, the producers could count only on makeup, The classic filmNight of the Living Dead isanother classic in the gender is a clear example of that. The zombies just look funny if we compare them with the ones we see on the productions today.

Psycho is one of the classics of horror movies and the most famous film produced by Alfred Hitchcock. The most remarkable scene is by far when the shower Marion Crane is killed in the shower. It is still impressive today!

The Sixth Sense gave countless chill down our spines. The plot remains a classic, and it is one of the best movies of the late '90s. However, the scene when boy Cole says, "I see dead people" became so popular on memes and makes it looks less scary today. However, it doesn't mean that the movie will not make you shiver in case you haven't watched it today.

Spiders seem to be something that scares people in general, but they did not work in the cinema so far. The film Arachnophobia is a low-budget film from the '90s, where a city is overwhelmed with spiders. The idea sounds exciting, and perhaps it works in a remake, however, back in the '90s, they still did not have the technological resources to make something impressive.

This scene, where one of the characters is killed by the spiders, made us scared when we were children, but it is not impressive today.

The Exorcist is one of the best horror movies ever made and has changed this type of film forever. The scenes of the girl possessed by a demon scared people for generations, and it is indeed a great movie. If you watched this movie when you were younger, you probably spent some nights without sleep.

If we watch it again, the plot and direction are still impressive. However, the special effects which gave us a chill down our spines years ago don't look that scary now.
