The story revolves around a group of children in Derry, Maine who come across their worst nightmare Pennywise, a bloodthirsty shape-shifting evil creature who has emerged after years to prey on the towns children.

Gerald and Jessie, trying to spice up their marriage, decide to take a romantic vacation at an isolated cabin house. Things soon turn from kinky to an absolute nightmare, when Gerald dies unexpectedly after handcuffing Jessie. With both her hands tied to the bed, no access to the keys and no one to listen to her cry for help, Jessie begins her fight to escape from the unknown horrors that are creeping into the house. Is she hallucinating or are those creepy things actually happening to her? is a question both Jessie and the audience keep asking until the very end. This psychological horror thriller is based on Stephen Kings 1992 novel of the same name, and features Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood.

The film is an adaptation of Kings 1977 novel of the same name and stars Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Scatman Crothers and Danny Lloyd. Jack Torrance moves to an isolated hotel with his family and becomes the winter caretaker of the hotel. Based on Stephen Kings 2010 novella of the same name, the story revolves around a man who loves his farmer life and his house a bit too much. So, when his wife suggests selling the land and moving to the city with their son, he conspires with his son to kill her. As he slowly grows insane from the guilt of killing the woman he once loved, the ghost of his wife returns along with an army of rats to haunt her murderers. The film is directed by Zak Hilditch and features Thomas Jane, Neal McDonough and Molly Parker.

Numerous adaptations have been made on Stephen Kings 1974 horror novel, Carrie, and each version is unique and intriguing in its own right. First adaptation was made in 1976 and then in 2002. This 2013 supernatural horror film is the third adaption that is directed by Kimberly Pierce and features Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Gabriella Wilde, Ansel Elgort and Alex Russell. This film is a modern take on the story about a shy outcast girl who possesses telekinetic powers and how she unleashes the powers on all those who did wrong to her.

Directed by Vincenzo Natali, the film is a supernatural horror drama based on the 2012 book written by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill. Walking barefoot or running on the grass is fun, but if the grass is from one of the fields in Stephen Kings books, its better to run as far away as possible. Starring Harrison Gilbertson, Patrick Wilson and Rachel Wilson; the story centres around two siblings who travel to San Diego to stay with their aunt. During their stay, the two hear strange voices from a nearby field of tall grass. As soon as they enter the field, they begin experiencing bizarre and unnatural things. The film is filled with twists and turns that will make you question the reality and leave you mentally exhausted by the end of it.

In this film, Jack Torrance moves into an isolated historic hotel called the Overlook Hotel as an off-season caretaker, with his wife Wendy and son Danny. During his time here, Danny is possessed by The Shining which allows him to see the horrific past of the hotel, eventually losing his sanity. The creepiness of the movie is going to make you never want to stay in an empty hotel somewhere near the mountains.
