A big screen Star Wars spoof is coming from the writers of Scary Movie – Metro

Star Wars is going all daft in an upcoming parody movie (Picture: LucasFilm)

The creators of film parodies Scary Movie, Epic Movie and Disaster Movie have announced their next big screen target will be far more specific Star Wars.

And the name of Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedbergs new George Lucas-bashing project is muchless concise than those given to theirother films.

Believe it or not, its going to be called Star Worlds Episode XXXIVE=MC2: The Force Awakens The Last Jedi Who Went Rogue.

Phew. Good luck googling that, kids.

Thankfully it seems well be able to shorten the title of this film to Star Worlds.

Sensitive Star Wars fans better build an underground bunker beforethis film comes out, because Friedberg and Seltzer rarely pull any punches with their scripts.

Producer Paul Hanson toldThe Hollywood Reporter: Jason and Aaron are a powerhouse duo who have proven time and time again that they are fully tapped into what audiences love.

Their fearless take on pop culture has us beyond thrilled to tackle the worlds most popular franchise with the two of them leading us into a galaxy far, far away.

Other movies the writing/directing duo are responsible for include Twilight spoof Vampires Suck,The Starving Games (based on a little-knownfranchise called The Hunger Games) and The Fast And The Furious parody Superfast!.

Now, 17 years after the first Scary Movie film emerged, the duoare also working on a Taken parody calledWho The F#@k Took My Daughter? which sounds fabulous.

Previously Star Wars was parodied in Mel BrooksSpaceballs in 1987, though that film also based itself on elements of Alien and Planet Of The Apes.

Now SW is getting the silly treatment full throttle and its been a long time coming, considering how weird the sci-fi franchise is already.

Are we excited? You bet.

No release date for Star Worlds has been scheduled yet but we do know the next Star Wars movie is out in the UK on December 15 this year.
