‘A Quiet Place: Part II’ full trailer is here, promises new and unquiet terrors – USA TODAY

You didn't think the creepy travails of the Abbott family in horror hit "A Quiet Place" were over at the end of the movie? Not by a long shot, as the trailer for "A Quiet Place: Part II" promises.

Director John Krasinski is back in 2020 with the second installment of his post-apocalyptic story of a ruined world in which repulsive killer creatures hunt haggard humans based on sound thus the need to remain absolutely silent at all times in order to survive.

But as the trailer from Paramount Pictures suggests, now there's plenty of scary sound around as the Abbottsface the perils outside the confines of their homestead.

"Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path," as it says on IMDb.

The full trailer, which made a widespread debut Wednesday, features Krasinski's wife, Emily Blunt, returning as Evelyn Abbott, now with a baby in arms, along with Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds as her older children who co-starred in the first film.

The trailer opens withBlunt's character driving through a town, talking toher children in the car. You hear horns honking and then see people rushingthrough the streets. "It's OK!" she repeats, trying to reassure the kids.

Suddenly, one of the creatures crash-lands on the hood of their car. They're fleeing, driving fast, when a bus with a broken front window heads straight for their car. She begins to back up as we see a monster crawling out of the bus window.

Later, in a kaleidoscope of scary images, we see the Abbotts running, fires burning, timbers falling, stuff exploding, screaming people racing to and fro.

In an abandoned building, a man grabs Blunt's character and covers her mouth as the camera slowly pans to one of the beastsslinking ominously nearby.

"Please, there are people out there worth saving," Blunt's character implores theman at one point.
