Hallmark ‘Hidden Gems’: Meet Hunter King and the rest of the cast – MEAWW

Hallmark is about to release another project that will make your heart race.

'Hidden Gems,' a new Hallmark rom-com, is about a girl who loses her grandmother's ring in the surf of Hawaii while preparing for her sister's wedding. She hires a sailor to help her recover it, and in the process, she rediscovers her love of the water, and who knows, she might even find true love in between the waves of Hawaii. Hunter King is most known for starring with Colin Hanks, Betsy Brandt, and Thomas Sadoski in CBS's 'Life in Pieces.' King is also known for her portrayal of Summer Newman on 'Young and the Restless,' for which she received two Daytime Emmy nominations. She played alongside Jimmy Bennett in 'A Girl Like Her,' which received rave reviews for its portrayal of bullying in schools. She was also cast as the lead in ABC's 'Prospect.' Hunter King recently finished filming the lead in the independent film' Give Me Your Eyes' as well as for Hallmark Channel's 'Hidden Gems.'

According to reports from 2013, King accused her 'Y&R' co-star Michael Muhney of groping her. Radar Online reported that King said Muhney fondled her breasts on two separate occasions, both of which were unsolicited and unwanted advances. Apparently, King informed producers that if Muhney was not fired, she would go to the police and file a case against him. On December 17, 2013, Muhney was sacked, despite him claiming the allegations were baseless. No charges were ever brought against him.

Beau Mirchoff has recently been in a series of regular roles on Freeform's 'Good Trouble' and Netflix's 'Narcos: Mexico.' He was formerly a series regular on Steven Soderbergh's Gregg Araki comedy 'Now Apocalypse' on Starz. Before that, Mirchoff was the series lead Matty on the highly acclaimed MTV comedy series 'Awkward' for five seasons. Mirchoff, who was born in Seattle and brought up on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, began acting at the age of 13 and landed his first significant part in 'Scary Movie 4' at the age of 14. He also landed the male lead in 'The Grudge 3' after recurring on the Canadian series 'Heartland.' He came to Los Angeles at the age of 20 and has been there ever since.

Eliza is an actress and writer, known for roles in 'Taking the Reins,' 'You Can Do Better' and 'The American Side.'

Jordan Matlock is known for his roles in 'Reagan,' 'NCIS: Hawai'i, and 'Hawaii Five-0.'

Diane Sargent is an actor, author, improviser, storyteller, and animal lover. She is the author of the children's book 'Mommy Says You Are What You Eat' and performs often with her improv team. Diane is also a qualified acupuncturist and a Chinese medicine physician. She enjoys long-distance paddleboarding, scuba diving, and traveling, and has been known to 'disappear for days' when she is immersed in a good book.

'Hidden Gems' premieres Saturday, June 4, 8/7c on Hallmark.
