Liverpool Comic Con 2020 times, tickets, celeb line up and everything you need to know – Liverpool Echo

Liverpool's biggest comic convention returns to the Exhibition Centre today as the three-day event begins.

Thousands of comic and film fans are expected to attend the huge event, which features a star-studded lineup of actors and artists this year, including Stranger Things actor David Harbour and Lord of the Rings alum Elijah Wood.

Across the weekend, fans will get to attend in their best costumes to meet stars, buy collectibles and pose with some of their favourite props, which include a replica of Bag End (Lord of the Rings) and the Swamp of Sadness (The Neverending Story).

As Liverpool Comic Con 2020 gets underway, we've created a handy guide to everything you'll need to know.

The convention returns to the Exhibition Centre Liverpool from March 6 - 8, 2020, with three days of high profile guests, life size props, Q&A sessions and plenty of cosplay planned.

The event opens each day at 9am.

Liverpool Comic Con takes place at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, on Kings Dock.

The full address is 16 Monarchs Quay, L3 4FP.

If youre travelling by bus - most buses will call at Queen Square or Liverpool ONE Bus Station, both of which are a 5 - 10 minute walk from the venue.

The CityLink Route C4 bus links Queen Square, James Street rail station and Liverpool ONE to the Exhibition Centre.

Route C4 operates every 30 minutes, Monday to Sunday, between 7am 8pm.

Merseytravel prepaid tickets and National Concessionary bus passes are all valid on this service.

If youre travelling by train - Exhibition Centre Liverpool is a 20-minute walk from Lime Street Station.

You can also switch trains at Lime Street to head towards James Street station which is a 10-minute walk from the venue.

You could also get the Route C4 bus to the Exhibition Centre.

The star studded lineup this year includes a range of reunions featuring cast members from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, American Pie, Flash Gordon, Neverending Story, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Elijah Wood

Best known for his portrayal of Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings trilogy , Elijah Wood will be appearing on March 7 and 8.

Mickey Rourke

In a UK exclusive convention appearance, Mickey Rourke will be appearing on March 7 and 8.

The star is well known for his roles in Iron Man 2, The Expendables, Sin City and more.

David Harbour

Stranger Things Jim Hopper is heading to Liverpool in March as David Harbour comes to Comic Con.

Ryan Hurst

Best known for his role as Harry 'Opie' Winston on Sons of Anarchy, Ryan Hurst will be appearing across all three days.

Melissa Joan Hart

Well known for her roles as the title character in Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Melissa Joan Hart is heading to Liverpool Comic Con in March.

Beth Broderick

Known for playing Sabrinas aunt, Zelda Spellman, Beth will be appearing at Comic Con in March too.

Jenna Leigh Green

Another Sabrina the Teenage Witch alum, Jenna Leigh Green is known for playing Libby Chessler on the TV show.

Jenna Leigh Green will appear across all three days.

Lori Petty

Known for playing the title role in Tank Girl, Lori Petty will be visiting Liverpool to meet with fans.

Sam J Jones

Known for playing the title role in Flash Gordon and The Highway Man, Sam J Jones is heading to Liverpool for a Flash Gordon reunion.

Brian Blessed OBE

Flash Gordon star Brian Blessed is well known for playing Prince Vultan in the popular show.

Blessed will be taking part in the Flash Gordon reunion at Comic Con.

Melody Anderson

Another Flash Gordon alum, Melody Anderson, will also be joining the reunion.

Chris Klein

In a UK convention exclusive, American Pie star Chris Klein will be appearing at Comic Con.

Klein is known for playing Chris Oz Ostreicher in the American Pie film series.

Tara Reid

Known for her roles in American Pie, The Big Lebowski and Van Wilder, Tara Reid is coming to Comic Con in a UK exclusive appearance.

Chris Owen

Another American Pie alum, Chris Owen is known for playing Chuck Sherman a.k.a The Sherminator in the comedy franchise.

Thomas Ian Nicholas

Known for his roles as Kevin Myers in American Pie, Henry Rowengartner in Rookie of the Year and Walt Disney in Walt Before Mickey, Thomas Ian Nicholas will appear at Liverpool Comic Con 2020.

Shannon Elizabeth

American Pie, Scary Movie and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back alum Shannon Elizabeth is also set to appear.

Frank Welker

Voice actor Frank Welker will be appearing at Comic Con this year.

Welker is known for voicing eight of the original Decepticons from the Transformers animated series.

Peter Cullen

Another Transformers alum, Peter Cullen is known for voicing Optimus Prime in the original 1980s animated series, as well as Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh and Monterey Jack in Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers.

Ericka Eleniak

Known for her role as Shauni McClain in Baywatch, Ericka Elaniak will be visiting Liverpool in March.

Stanislav Ianevski

Best known for playing Viktor Krum in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Stanislav Ianevski will appear at Comic Con this year.

Josh Herdman

Another Harry Potter alum, Josh Herdman is known for playing Gregory Goyle in the Harry Potter series and will appear across two days of Comic Con 2020.

Karyn Parsons

Joining the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion, Karyn Parsons will appear at Comic Con this year.

Parsons is known for her role as Hilary Banks on the 90s sitcom.

Ross Bagley

In a world convention exclusive, Ross Bagley will be visiting Liverpool Comic Con this year to appear alongside his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-stars.

Bagley is known for his role as Nicky Banks in the series.

Noah Hathaway

Known for his roles as Atreyu in The Neverending Story and Boxey in Battlestar Galactica, Hathaway will appear at Comic Con this year.

Tami Stronach

The Neverending Story alum Tami Stronach, known for playing The Childlike Empress in the 1984 film, will also appear.

John Callis

Known for his role as Aubrey Boycie Boyce in Only Fools and Horses, John Callis will be appearing at Liverpool Comic Con this year.

Sue Holderness

Only Fools and Horses star Sue Holderness, who played Marlene Boyce, will appear alongside John Callis.

Philip Pope

Only Fools and Horses and Outnumbered star Philip Pope will appear on Saturday only.

Jason David Frank

Known for his role at Tommy Oliver from the Power Rangers franchise, Jason David Frank will return to Comic Con again this year.

Jamie Marchi

Voice actress for video games and anime, Jamie Marchi will appear at Comic Con in a UK exclusive.

Marchi is known for voicing Ellie from Borderlands 2 and Freya from Smite.

Monica Rial

Voice actress Monica Rial will also be appearing this year.

Rial is known for voicing characters in My Hero Academia, HighSchool of the Dead and Fairy Tale.

J Michael Tatum

Voice actor J Michael Tatum, who is known for voicing Rikichi in Samuarai 7 and Kyoya Otori in Ouran High School Host Club, will also appear.

Brandon McInnis

Voice actor Brandon McInnis, who is known for his roles in Black Clover, My Hero Academia andGamers, will appear at Liverpool Comic Con.

Lucie Pohl

Actress and stand up comedian Lucie Pohl will appear at the event this year too.

Pohl is known for voicing Mercy in Overwatch.

Nigel Parkinson

Dennis the Menace and Gnasher illustrator, Nigel Parkinson, will also appear.

Jen Cohn

Known for voicing Pharah in Overwatch, Jen Cohn will be heading to Comic Con this year to meet with The Wrestler co-star Mickey Rourke.
