Scary Movie, ironical to the name was an American comedy that got released back in the year 2000. Going into some tiny details of the film, it was directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans and produced by Eric L. Gold and Lee R. Mayes. The movie was written by a handful of writers that included Shawn Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Buddy Johnson, Phil Beauman, Jason Friedberg, and Aaron Seltzer. The music has been given by David Kitay and the cinematography has been done by Francis Kenny. The artistic editing of the film has been done by Mark Helfrich. The film got produced under three production companies which comprised Wayans Bros. Entertainment, Gold/Miller Productions, and Brad Grey Pictures. The distribution has been done by Dimension Films.

The film was released on July 7, 2000, and ran for complete 88 minutes. It has been originated in the United States thus has English as its original language. The movie is a sort of parody and till now season 5 of the same has been entertaining the audience who is excitingly waiting for the sixth part, however, there is no news of th making of Scary Movie 6 as the creators of the show have not yet hinted out anything as such.
