'Scary Movie 5' Snags Lindsay Lohan And Charlie Sheen

Lindsay Lohan just landed her next starring role in a movie. An actual movie this time. Now before you think this is a good thing for Lohans career, know this: her starring role is alongside Charlie Sheen in the next Scary Movie if you havent been keeping up, its No. 5. This is just what the world needs two of Americas biggest celebrity train-wrecks in a spoof movie together. This must mean theyre the joke of the movie right? Or are we being punkd? This just sounds too good to be true.

E! Online says that Sheen will reprise his role as Tom Logan even though he was killed off in Scary Movie 4. Then again, this is the Scary Movie universe and things dont ever make sense. As for Lindsay, no word on who shell be playing yet, but we wouldnt be surprised if she ended up playing her good ole self. What were having a hard time figuring out is if this is a step up or down from Liz & Dick.

Malcolm Lee is directing, and just in case you were wondering, Anna Faris wont be in the fifth installment. The movie is set for a January 11 release date, but thats likely to change since theyre barely casting the thing.

We obviously dont need another Scary Movie. Spoof movies in general are a bit silly, and not in the theyre so funny sort of way. Were not really interested to see what this next venture will bring. Sure, Sheen is a funny man (when he wants to be), but weve seen Lohan on SNL and Glee, and if thats what shes bringing to this, we say Thanks, but no thanks.
