‘Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark’ Gets Its Own Halloween Mask Collection This Halloween! – Bloody Disgusting

Last years Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, directed by Andr vredal and produced by Guillermo del Toro, brought several of Stephen Gammells nightmarish illustrations from the same-titled books to the screen for the very first time, and now thanks to the movie, theyve been turned into masks by Trick or Treat Studios for the 2020 Halloween season!

Featured in the companys 2020 product catalog, three different Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark Halloween masks are brand new for Halloween 2020, based on the movie designs:

As del Toro explained in The Haunted Notebook of Sarah Bellows, it was very important that the movie translated the creatures dreamt by Gammell unto the screen, and Mike Elizaldes company Spectral Motion was brought in to do just that. Over several months, del Toro explains, we worked hard to make sure that the three-dimensional suits and prosthetics we delivered were faithful to the images they were rendering. Those masks have been impressively recreated by Trick or Treat Studios, looking like they came right off the screen.
