What is your favorite scary movie? If the answer screams, get ready to be excited. The self-intriguing slasher franchise starring Neve Campbell as a woman terrified of a series of ghost-faced assassins is now back on the big screen, with Scream 5 now in development.

As fans know, not all actors in the Scream franchise get a luxurious return to future chapters, as many have come across a bitter ending, but one of its oldest survivors (some despite the closed call). Its Davey Riley, last seen as Woodsboro Sheriff in Scream 4. Well, it wont be the last when we see one of the slasher genres favorite badges, as confirmed by actor David Arquette who will surprise the role again. According to THR, he is delighted to return to the film series that is important to him and pay tribute to the legacy of his original assistant Wes Craven.

David Arquette is the only actor who has been confirmed for Scream 5 so far, but, as most fans would agree, no screaming movie is complete without its original final girl, Sydney Prescott, played by Neve Campbell. Fortunately, fans can remain optimistic for reports that the actress has been in talks to claim her most famous role. He recently told Rebuild Podcast co-host, Jake Hamilton, that hes already very impressed with the new directors, who personally greatly appreciate Wess work and really want to honor him. We leave you with one last bit about Scream 5, which is not rumored, but it is a strange idea related to production. Despite the fate of their respective characters in previous films, both Matthew Lillard and Jamie Kennedy have stated that they will appear in an upcoming sequel if asked. Apparently, the best thing that stands in their way is that their respective characters are very dead (Lillard in the second Scream in 1997 and Kennedy in the second chapter). Perhaps in the sequel one can believe the theory that the Kennedy character, Randy, was the cause of his death and was the true mastermind behind Ghostface?
