Now that the show you were binging on is over, what do you do? Pick up another one that doesn't end in a day or two, and leaves you satisfied after an engaging, long plot line, perhaps? We all remember the days of coursing through Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy and Supernaturalapart from several popular sitcomsthat kept us hooked to the TV. And goes without saying, multiple-season shows are a great source of entertainmentonce you're invested in the story, there's no stopping at all. So, for all the times when you're wondering what to watch online, here's a list of 10 long binges that will keep you going for at least a few weeks.

Set in Birmingham, Peaky Blinders focuses on the deeds of the Shelby crime family in the early 1900s. Led by the notorious Tommy Shelby, the clan runs a betting company as a front for their criminal activities, and calls their gang the Peaky Blinders. They have the police on their payroll, but they finally meet their match when a new inspector moves to the city from Ireland. The Shelbys are hell-bent on growing their empire by any means possible and Tommy sets his sights on London. The series boasts of great writing and characters, and is a treat for the eyes.

Seasons: five. Streaming on Netflix

Riverdale is based on the popular Archie comics, but is a darker take on the story and characters of the comic universe. A thrilling teenage drama, it showcases the lives of high school students Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead as they discover that their classmate has been murdered. The group dives deeper into the mystery of their small town and unearths some startling secrets. The show features a great ensemble cast including KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes and Cole Sprouse.

Seasons: four. Streaming on Netflix

Who wouldn't love a great legal drama with brilliantly-written characters? Suits opens with a college dropout, Mike Ross, on the run due to a not-so-favourable drug deal. Even though he is smart, bad choices land him in a difficult spot. Eventually, a series of events leads him into an interview with famed lawyer, Harvey Specter. Impressed by his intellect and knowledge about the subject of law, Specter takes him under his wing despite him not having a proper degree. Together they start working and closing cases while keeping Ross' true identity under wraps.

Seasons: nine. Streaming on Amazon Prime Video

Vikings is inspired by the stories of Scandinavian Norsemen. The six-season series tells the tale of a historical figure, Ragnar Lothbrok, and his exploits as he sailed and raided his neighbouring lands. The show begins at the inception of the Viking age in 793; and is based a great deal on the 12th and 13th century Norse writings as well as historical records of the events during the period.

Rick Grimes is a sheriff who wakes up from a coma and into a dystopian world run over by zombies, known as walkers. The few remaining humans struggle to survive but the walkers aren't the only threat as people are often at odds with each other over rules, territory and resources. The apocalypse brings out the worst in them, and to trust anyone blindly is a mistake. Rick leads a group of people in Atlanta, Georgia as they face dire situations to stay alive. The Walking Dead is based on a comic book series by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard.

Seasons: 11. Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar

The longest-running American sitcom with 31 seasons, The Simpsons first aired in 1990. The animated series is about a middle-class family and their everyday lives which are full of comedic surprises. The jokes usually centre around working-class life, media and society. Over the years, The Simpsons has gained a reputation of predicting real-life events way before they happened. This includes Donald Trump's presidential run and Disney acquiring Fox's media assets.

Seasons: 31. Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar

After being told he has terminal lung cancer, a school science teacher in New Mexico, Walter White starts making Methamphetamine to sustain his family. He is joined by a former student, Jesse Pinkman, in his illegal venture. The duo creates a rare form of Meth which boosts their business. However, with an increased reputation comes more conflict. They're targeted by the authorities and the Mexican drug cartels alike. Even White's family is against it when they find out about his trade. With his life at risk, he has some important decisions to make.

Seasons: five. Streaming on Netflix

If you somehow missed the international phenomenon that was Game of Thrones, there is still a chance to dive into this fantasy series. On the fictional continent of Westeros, a mysterious death raises suspicions and a menacing game of politics and power begins. Throw dragons, ice zombies and shocking plot twists into the mix, and you have a complete package. The series based on George RR Martin's books gained a tremendous fan following throughout its eight seasons, but the majority was not satisfied with the finale.

Seasons: eight. Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar

A series based on the DC Comics character, Green Arrow, it follows a rich and spoilt Oliver Queen, who gets stranded on an island after a shipwreck. Struggling to survive for five years on the remote landmass, he finally returns home after being discovered. However, Oliver has acquired a new set of combat skills, a conscience for justice and mastery of the bow and arrow. He dawns a secret persona and starts defending his city as a vigilante archer. As the story unfolds, it is revealed that his time away had more to it than what was initially let on.

Seasons: eight. Streaming on Netflix

The well-known animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane is a delight to watch if you love dark humour. It revolves around the five-member Griffin family and their talking dog. Settled in New York, the Griffins try to live a normal life but regularly face hilarious yet unfavourable situations. The show relies heavily on mocking and criticising the American culture, but also takes a dig at international stereotypes. It has been on the receiving end of heavy criticism for depicting racial, sexual and violent comedy.
