AMC Announces The Walking Dead Season 8 Preview Special – We Got This Covered

October 22nd isnt that far away now, but fans of AMCs The Walking Dead are beyond eager to get a look at season 8. That 5 minute Comic-Con trailer really whet our appetite and as more and more information comes to light on what the show will be bringing us this year, its getting harder to sit tight and wait for Rick Grimes and co. to return to our screens.

Thankfully, then, the network is here tomake things a bit easier on us, as theyve now announced that theyll be airing an hour long preview special on September 10th at 8pm EST. For those keeping track, thats also the same day as the season 3B premiere of Fear the Walking Dead. Suffice it to say, itll be a good night for fans of Robert Kirkmans zombie universe.

As for what the special will involve, well, we dont know just yet, but its safe to assume that a big emphasis will be placed on the upcoming 100th episode. Beyond that, its been revealed that itll be hosted by Chris Hardwick (of course) and featureshowrunner Scott Gimple and stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lennie James, who play Negan and Morgan, respectively.

Presumably, AMC will also be bringing us some never before seen footage from season 8 during the special, though dont expect them to show off too much.After all, theres no fun in spoiling all of the surprises thatThe Walking Deadhas in store for us, right? In all likelihood, the preview will be more of just a fluff piece to build up the hype, and were perfectly alright with that. Weve still got a few months to go until the season 8 premiere airsand at this point, well take what we can get.
