Its about the time of year when Fear the Walking Deadwould normally return for a fresh new season. However, COVID-19 has caused a delay in the arrival of Season 6. With quite a bit of a wait for fans to see the story move forward, it makes sense to get the wish lists out.

There were a number of impressive beats that the previous season hit, yet a whole lot more can be added to make the latest one better for fan wish fulfillment. Here are 10 things that will hopefully be reflected in Season 6 of Fear the Walking Dead.
Unlike The Walking Dead, its spin-offhas always favored grit over heartwarming moments. There are few instances when there is a genuinely light moment between characters, and this needs to change.
In order to highlight how these people are changing due to each other's influence, and to showcase the bond between them, there needs to be the addition of humor instead of horror. The flagship series has doled out some ofthis to great effect, so its time time for Fear to do the same.
The zombie apocalypse in particular has the effect of one event affecting everybody elses future. Michonnes exit in The Walking Dead showed just this, as she was seen in an alternate scenario where she joined the Saviors.
In the same vein, Fear the Walking Dead can incorporate this idea. The scenarios can play out from events like Madison never dying, Morgan not meeting John, or the groups formation never happening. Itll be fascinating to see how a what if universe looks like here.
As far as the timeline of the overall Walking Dead universe is concerned, Fear is lagging hilariously far behind. So much so, that theres about a decades worth of separation between the events. Season 6 can fill in the gaps by showing the future in quick bursts.
This can parallel the journey in the present-days events to where fans know the characters end up. The season can have the finales events show up in the premiere, with the rest of the episodes leading up to it.
The fact of the matter is that Madisons death didnt exactly get confirmed onscreen. Sure, by all accounts she seems to have perished in the fire, but in the past, other characters have miraculously returned as well.

The original plan had been to make Madison out to be something of a Negan figure, and fans still debate if she could have usurped Rick in power, too. Madison had been made to appear alive in present-day during Season 4, only for it to be flashbacks. Season 6 can do the reverse and reveal her to be alive all along.
On occasion, going completely berserk really does work, as evidenced by The Walking Deads Season 5 premiere. Fear the Walking Dead has had its share of big-event fights, but Season 6 should end proceedings with the grandest one yet.
Here, every character should be reunited and go up against a mix of zombie hordes and human enemies. It can serve as the highlight of the season, with the characters bringing in their special moves by using both melee weapons and ballistics.
This angle has been going on for quite a while, not only on Fear the Walking Dead, but a couple years before Dwight left the main series. Theres really only so much build-up that can be placed here, and Season 6 should have the former spouses together once more.
However, rather than making them another version of John and June, the story can take a twist by having Sherry turn out to be the antagonist. She was a villain in the comics, so theres definite precedent for this angle to play out.
Morgans a really peculiar fellow. At some points, hes been shown to go completely off the deep end and lose all rationale. But on other occasions, hes become far too passive.
In order to close off this dilly-dallying of his psyche, Season 6 should have Morgan delve into his own mind. Here, he can be seen fighting his inner demons well and truly, finally forgiving himself for his actions in the past and moving on.
If theres one thing viewers havent seen Morgan undergo, its a love story. By the end of Season 5, though, it was clear that he and Grace were in the middle of one. Things tend toconclude abruptly in the Walking Dead universe, so theres a chance this story might end before it even begins.

However, its better if Morgan and Graces romance is mapped out, especially since shes supposed to be pregnant. This way, it can serve as Morgans redemption arc as well, with him placing the survival of Graces child as a way of making up for his son Duanes death. It also helps fans see a different, tender side of Morgan that hasnt beenshown before.
There have been multiple villains in the series before, but Season 6 should have a unique change in the form of bringing two antagonists who never meet. This can be accomplished by having each villain play the part against particular members of the group.
The villains personalities should be different as well, with one being the usual brutal antagonist, while the other could besomeone more sinister, who manipulates peoples emotions and relationships. By keeping them apart, Season 6 can have two sides of the same story.
A way to simultaneously link to the other series and use flash-forwards could be done by introducing a character on Fear the Walking Dead. Theres already speculation as to one of the characters here showing up on The Walking Dead: World Beyond, so Season 6 is a prime opportunity to begin this angle.
It would work by having a guest star on this series, with their departure setting up the events in the future. Both the flagship show and World Beyond take place ten years after the apocalypse, meaning Fear can be the platform for an origin story for these new characters.
