Fear the Walking Dead season 3 episode 6 synopsis: Red Dirt – Undead Walking

As soon as you see the Fear the Walking Dead episode 306 title, you think of blood. Red Dirt has to mean blood, right? Well, maybe not. Lets look at what we might expect in the July 2 episode.

The official AMC synopsis of Fear the Walking Dead Red Dirt is as follows:

News of incoming danger spreads throughout the community as Madison struggles to keep everyone together. Nick grapples with a hard truth.

As soon as Walker issued his warning in episode 305, everything changed for the peace and prosperity of Broke Jaw Ranch. Though the location of the ranch might have been under Jeremiah Ottos control for a while, it looks like we have a land dispute on our hands. And if Walker feels comfortable shooting down helicopters, you can imagine that hes prepared to deal with Ottos arsenal. Thats terrifying in itself because weve seen Ottos weapon cache. Its massive.

Its possible, then, that the title wants you to think of blood, but given Ottos penchant for using racial slurs, it could be a reference to the Native Americans who were on the land before anyone else. There has to be a reason why Walker is so upset at Otto, and a land dispute could be at the heart of it.

Meanwhile, Nick must deal with losing Luciana. In the apocalypse its not so easy to decide to move away with your girlfriend and stay in touch with your family, so Nick is faced with a tough decision: Follow Luciana, or stay at Broke Jaw Ranch with his family. Its not so easy anymore, and hes not used to being the one to stay behind while someone else bails on him. (Not counting his fathers death, of course)

There is a lot yet to come on Fear the Walking Dead, and with only three episodes before the midseason finale, the story will be moving quickly from here on out.
