The first half of the 11th season of The Walking Dead will start at 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, on AMC.
Season 11 will be the last for the show. The first 12 episodes will air this year and another 12 will air next year.
A spinoff is planned in 2023 that will feature characters Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride).
The first episode of Season 11 is called Acheron: Part I.
AMC says, The group returns to Alexandria from a critical food mission but realizes it isnt enough, so Maggie proposes a new plan. Meanwhile, those captured by the strange soldiers are relocated to another undisclosed location. And, Our heroes set off to confront the Reapers, while Eugenes group assimilates to the Commonwealth.
