Is Glenn Returning To ‘The Walking Dead’ For Season 8? – Konbini US

Whether you liked season seven of The Walking Dead or not, there's no denying that killing off two important characters in the season premiere was a serious shock to the system.

A big partof theseries straight from the word go, the death of Glenn was especially hard to swallow.

While Abraham had the opportunity to feature in a few scenes of the season finale in the form of Sasha's flashbacks, all Glenn got was an (admittedly moving) speech from his widow Maggie.

But that could all be about to change in season eight, hints showrunnerScott M. Gimple.

Asked byTVLineabout the odds of seeing Glenn again, Gimple responded that it'd "certainly be possible". While he didn't give any plot details away, he did seem to suggest we'd be seeing more of Glenn as Maggie gets closer to giving birth, adding:"Id be silly to say it isnt [a possibility]"

On the other hand, as events have been moving along pretty quickly, it seems that Maggie won't be welcoming her baby into the world for a little while yet.

Comic fans will know (spoiler alert) that there is an important change in the narrative at the end of our survivors' war against Negan and the Saviors.

An event that could be upsetting enough to trigger a flashback for Maggie? We'll have to wait and see, because,despite a high energy end to the season, the battle has only just begun.
