My Progress Watching The Walking Dead for the First Time Part 3 – knue.com

I talked a while back about how I had never watched The Walking Dead. Yes, I know,I need to turn over my nerd card. But during the quarantine, I fired up Netflix and started binge watching the series. Here are my thoughts as I'm halfway through season four.

THERE WILL BE SOME SPOILERS SO STOP NOW IF YOU HAVE NEVER WATCHED AND WERE THINKING ABOUT STARTING TO WATCH.

Holy crap, I am still in love with this show. Holy crap, did I almost have a mental breakdown after two of my favorite characters died back to back.

As of this writing, I am through season five, episode thirteen. But man oh man, have I been through the ringer emotionally. I'm still trying to get over what was going on at Terminus. Then the Terminus survivors are trailing Rick and his group and kidnap Bob, who I really liked, and take his leg.

I felt really bad for the pastor, Abraham. The Terminus group comes into the church and Rick has to decide the Terminus group's fate. Abraham, who is a flawed man of faith, just can't fathom Rick's reasoning for eliminating the Terminus group. It's not until Abraham goes to the Terminus group's campsite and sees Bob's uneaten foot that he realizes their fate at Rick's hand was correct.

Sadly, Bob passes away, which really got to me because I had grown to like him in his short time on the show. But then, we get into the next episode as Noah brings the group to his hometown. Here, we lose Tyreese, who quickly became a favorite character of mine. I cried, I did. I hated losing him.

We also got a side story of Beth being kidnapped with Carol and Darryl heading out in search of her. That didn't end pleasantly, either. And the whole Eugene lied about who he was.

This show is certainly putting me through the ringer emotionally. I'm still loving it, though, and will continue the updates as I go through this journey.
