Sarah Wayne Callies would be happy to return to The Walking Dead – Undead Walking

Sarah Wayne Callies, the actress who played Lori Grimes on The Walking Dead from season 1 until 4, hosted a Reddit AMAwhere fans could ask her anything theyd like and she would be open to respond. Not surprisingly, fans wondered about a possible return to the show.

When asked about a potential comeback to The Walking Dead for a flashback or another type of scene, similar to other old cast members, Callies said that she would definitely think about it.

She said:

Of course Lori wouldnt be able to come back to the show full time as the character was tragically killed off in a monumental episode in season 4, Killer Within. However, the door is always open for a flashback scene or hallucination where Sarah could return.

She said that she would find it fun to work with Cailey, who joined the cast in season 9 after Andrew Lincoln departed. Cailey has been phenomenal in the show and is a huge part of the creative change that the show has undergone. It is tricky to figure out a way that Lori and Judith could be in a scene together as they have never actually met but if there was a way, it would be pretty awesome to see.

She also stated about Angelas great showrunning since her takeover in season 9 and it would definitely be hard to disagree. Angela has transformed the show greatly with her 2 seasons both scoring a huge score of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes. That is the highest of any other seasons.

Callies would only go back under the right circumstances, which does make sense. The show would not be able to pretend that Lori survived in season 4 as that is entirely impossible so it is understandable that she would only return if it made sense. She did actually return very implicitly for Ricks last episode as one of the people who ask him about his wound. However she was not actually shown on the screen.
