The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners Shallows Safe Code – GameRant

The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, the VR survival-horror from Skybound Entertainment and Skydance Interactive, released to a lukewarm reception this month. While critics praised the game's oppressive atmosphere and use of VR technology, they had little positive to say in regards to Saints and Sinnners' survival mechanics.

The game sets players adrift as a survivor in post-apocalyptic New Orleans, scavenging for basic necessities and running up against both the living dead and NPC survivors. Advancement is driven by the successful acquisition of loot, and it's possible to lose a haul if a scavenging trip goes south. Some of the best loot in the game can be found in locked safes, like the one in the Shallows, but players will need the code to get at it.

The Shallows area of The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinnersis accessible in the player's skiff, and contains a number of semi-flooded buildings. The one containing the safe is the large blue mansion. Depending on their place in The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners' story, players may already have visited the houseto install Henri's radio parts.

The safe itself can be found in the penthouse apartment on the upper floor, but is useless without the code. Unfortunately, the blue note containing the code for the safe is randomly placed inside the mansion for each play-through, sonot even Daryl Dixon couldhelp you find it. A sufficiently thorough search of the house should turn it up, but for those players who don't have the time, the code it contains is: 3748.

The safe may not contain exactly the same loot for each player, but the most valuable item will always be there. Picking up the red book entitled "Handguns: An Idiots Guide" will allow the player to learn the recipe to craft the .45 Revolver, one of the mosteffective weapons in TWD: Saints and Sinners.

With an even larger caliber than Rick Grimes' signature Colt Python, the .45 Revolver contains all the stopping power a player needs to keep themselves safe in a horror-survivalgame. Unfortunately, a powerful gun isn't always a good thing in the world of Walking Dead, as the louder a shot the more Walkers will be drawn to it. It's not clear whether the mechanic is that nuanced in Saints and Sinners, but one thing is for sure, unnecessary gunfire will always draw unnecessary attention.

The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinnersis out now for PC-powered VR headsets, with PlayStation VR and Oculus Quest releases coming later this year.
