The Walking Dead season 10 star Ryan Hurst has landed a lead role in Hulu's upcoming adaptation of The Mysterious Benedict Society.

Based on Trenton Lee Stewart's novel of the same name, the new series follows four orphans who are recruited by the Mysterious Mr. Benedict to infiltrate an evil institute run by his twin brother.

Hurst will play Milligan Wetherall, a former secret agent working with The Mysterious Mr. Benedict Society who cuts an enigmatic, towering figure.

Of course, Hurst currently stars in The Walking Dead as Beta, the leader of the dreaded Whisperers.

Hurst's involvement in The Mysterious Benedict Society could potentially be an indication that his zombie flesh-wearing villain will be written out in the delayed season 10 finale of The Walking Dead.

For that, we'll just have to wait and see.

For Benedict Society, Hurst will be joined by Kristen Schaal, MaameYaa Boafo, Gia Sandhu, Mystic Inscho, Emmy DeOliveira, Seth Carr and Marta Timofeeva all of whom have been announced as cast regulars.

Tony Hale (Veep, Arrested Development), meanwhile, will play the titular Mr. Benedict, as well as his twin brother Mr. Curtain.

Some of Hurt's other credits include Sons of Anarchy, Bates Motel and Outsiders.

The Walking Dead's season 10 finale will air as a special episode later this year on FOX in the UK. You can also catch up on the show via NOW TV. In the US, the show airs on AMC.
